Seven Deadly Sins Challenge Day 8: Sloth

Hi Girls!
I told you a few days ago that I feel very identified with the Sin Gluttony, but if I had to choose a sin it would be Sloth... I'm not proud of it, but I just looove to sleep or spend an entire afternoon just doing nothing!
The prompt for today says: "Create a manicure inspired on your laziness... or whatever... I'm so tired..." And this is how I felt yesterday... I didn't want to paint my nails, so I decided to do something quick and I remembered I had to swatch my new Loreal Confetti topper...

Ya os dije hace unos días que me sentía muy identificada con el Pecado Gula, pero si tuviera que escoger un pecado sería el de la Pereza... No estoy muy orgullosa de ello pero esque me encaaanta dormir o pasar una tarde entera sin hacer absolutamente nada!
Las intrucciones de hoy dicen: " Crea una manicura inspirada en tu vagancia... o lo que sea... estoy demasiado cansada..." Y así es justo como me sentía ayer... No quería pintarme las uñas así que decidí hacer algo rápido y recordé que tenía que swatchear mi nuevo topper Loreal Confetti...

I also decided to do some stamping because it's an easy way to get a full nail design... Lazy me... I know sometimes stamping it's not lazy at all because sometimes it's really hard, but you know I usually make my own drawing with acrylic paints, so this is lazy for me...
To make this manicure I used Claire's 137 as the base and applied two coats of Loreal Confetti on my middle finger and pinky, no need of fishing or placing at all. Then I stamped with China Glaze Magical from the Romantique's Collection with BM-310 on my index finger and with BM-215 on my ring finger.



También decidí hacer algo de estampación porque es una forma fácil de conseguir un diseño de uña completo... que vaga... Ya sé que estampar no es siempre de vagos porque a veces es una tecnica dificil, pero ya sabeis que normalmente yo hago mis propios dibujos con pinturas acrílicas, así que para mí si es que soy una vaga...
Para hacer esta manicura he utilizado Claire's 137 como base y he aplicado dos capas de Loreal Confetti en mi dedo corazón y el meñique, sin necesitar pescar o recolocar los glitters. Luego estampé con China Glaze Magical de la Colección Romantique, con BM-310 en el dedo índice y con BM-215 en el anular.

It took me less that half an hour to make it, and I used Seche Vite on top, so in less than two minutes was completely dried. I hope you liked and that you are enjoying this challenge so far because we have already done half of it!!

Tardé menos de media hora en hacerla, y utilicé Seche Vite encima, así que en menos de dos minutos estaba completamente seca. Espero que os haya gustado y que esteis disfrutando el Reto hasta ahora, porque ya hemos hecho la mitad!!

Two Sides of the Same Coin

This is the last item that Born Pretty Store has sent me. I have been looking for small rhinestones everywhere because my nails are very small and the ones that I had were too big, so when I saw Born Pretty Store had a set of Three Different Sizes Clear Rhinestones I decided I wanted them!

Este es el último de los productos que me ha enviado Born Pretty Store. He estado buscando Rhinestones pequeños por todos lados porque mis uñas son muy pequeñas y los que ya tenía eran demasiado grandes, así que cuando vi que Born Pretty Store tenía un set con Rhinestones Transparentes de Tres Tamaños Diferentes decidí que quería probarlos!

The first thing that comes to my mind when I think of rhinestones is a sparkly and girly manicure like the one I did above. I used three coats of China Glaze Princess Grace and then I stamped a design from the BM-214 plate with Deliplus nº47. With the help of two pieces of scotch tape I applied a coat of clear polish on a triangle shape and then I sprinkled some holographic glitter. Finally using some clear polish I stuck the rhinestones following the lines of the glitter.



Lo primero que se me viene a la cabeza cuando pienso en rhinestones es una manicura con brillitos y girly como la que he hecho. Usé tres capas de China Glaze Princess Grace y luego estampé un diseño de la placa BM-214 con Deliplus nº47. Con la ayuda de dos trozos de celo apliqué una capa de esmalte transparente en forma de triángulo y luego espolvoreé un poco de glitter holográfico. Para terminar, utilizando esmalte transparente pegué los rhinestones siguiendo la forma del glitter.

As I liked this manicure so much I entered an Instagram Contest with it, but I will tell you about it another day.
Also I know there are a lot of people who doesn't like pink and girly manicures, so I did another mani to show you "the other side of the coin".



Como me encantó esta manicura tanto la he presentado para un concurso de Instagram, pero ya os lo contaré más adelante.
También he querido tener en cuenta que hay mucha gente a la que no tienen por qué gustarles las manicuras rosas y de chicas, así que he hecho otra mani para mostraros "el otro lado de la moneda".

This manicure was made with the smallest size of the Born Pretty Store Rhinestones, and I loved how Rocker it looks, I also think this would look great with some cool Skull Stamping. Don't you think so?



Esta manicura está hecha con los Rhinestones de tamaño más pequeño de Born Pretty Store, I me encanta lo Rockera que ha quedado, también creo que quedaría genial con algún estampado de calaveras. ¿No creeis?

With this manicure the rhinestones didn't fell off in two days because I used a top coat after using them, but with my first manicure I didn't use a top coat, in about an hour the big ones were the only ones that were still on my nails.

Con esta manicura los rhinestones no se cayeron en dos días porque le puse top coat después de usarlos, pero con la primera manicura no usé top coat, en una hora los rhinestones grandes eran los unicos que quedaban en mis uñas.

Reto Oh Oh Oh #8: Regalos

Tristemente los retos de Navidad ya se están terminando y hoy es uno de los últimos días. And you might say... Gifts? I can't see gifts anywhere over here... Well, they are!! One of my Christmas/Birthday Gifts have been the 2012 Bundle Monster set! Which I have been wanting to have since they were released, but for cosmic reasons, I have been not able to buy.

For this skittle stamping manicure I used two different stamping plates, two gradients and silver holographic glequins.

Index: H&M Miss Stone Heart sponged with Flormar 400
Middle: H&M Miss Stone Heart stamped with the heart design from BM-317 using Easy Paris nº48.
Ring: Flormar 400 sponged with H&M Miss Stone Heart and then stamped with the text design from BM-311.
Pinky: H&M Miss Stone Heart and framed with silver holographic glequins.



Para esta manicura skittle he utilizado dos placas de estampación diferentes, dos degradados y glequins holográficos plateados.

Índice: H&M Miss Stone Heart degradado con Flormar 400
Medio: H&M Miss Stone Heart estampado con el diseño de corazones de la placa BM-317 usando Easy Paris nº48.
Anular: Flormar 400 degradado con H&M Miss Stone Heart y luego estampado con el diseño de texto de la placa BM-311.
Meñique: H&M Miss Stone Heart enmarcado con glequins holográficos plateados.

Greetings everyone. I am Dina, from Secretary`s Nail Art I have been asked to do a Guest Post while Helena is away.

I wanted a flirty and girly manicure, and since I just got nail mail from Models Own, they seems like a good idea to start.

This is two coats of Gold Rush from Models Own. 

Isn`t it lovely. 

Lately I have been loving gradients, and this was no exception. I cut a tiny piece of make-up sponge, and used Mystic Mauve from Models Own. Sponging from the middle and working it up to the tip of the nails. 

Then I grabbed my Bundlemonster plate from the the 2012 collection, number 314. I stamped using my WnW Black Creme, its one of my favorite stamping polishes.

Disney Challenge Day 3: El Dragón Chiflado

Hi there!
Here I am again with the manicure of the Reluctant Dragon. I was on the beach and I didn't had time to program the post so I am posting it now.
I wanted to keep this manicure simple so I just drawed the head of the dragon and used a stamp as the scales.

Ya estoy de vuelta con la manicura del Dragón Chiflado. Estaba en la playa y no tuve tiempo de programar la entrada, así que os la subo ahora.
Quería que esta manicura fuera más simple así que simplemente dibujé la cabeza del dragón y utilicé un estampado como las escamas.

MSMD Kiko 395

Hi! Today I'm really happy because I finally am able to make an MSMD of THIS amazing manicure from ChitChatNails. When I saw it the day she posted it I instantly fell in love with the colour, but you know I don't have a lot of money to spend on nailpolish (I wish I could) so Chanel Peridot was way out of my reach. But the other day, my absolutely lovable boyfriend bought me this amazing polish, which luckily was a very good dupe for Peridot. (I know there is a very good review on the internet but for no reason I can't find it now)

¡Hola! Hoy estoy muy contenta porque por fin he podido hacer una MSMD de ESTA manicura increíble de ChitChatNails. Cuando la ví el día que la subió me enamoré del color al momento, pero como ya sabeis no tengo mucho dinero para gastar en pinturas de uñas (ojalá lo tuviera) así que el Peridot de Chanel quedaba bastante fuera de mi alcance. Pero el otro día, mi agradable, estupendo, amoroso y fantasticoso novio me compró esta pintura de uñas, que resultó ser un buen clon del Peridot. (Hay en algun lugar de internet una comparacion muy buena pero por alguna razón no soy capaz de encontrarla ahora)

This shade is KIKO 395 and the colour is just you can see in the pictures. This were taken without flash and under the sunlight. Without more editing that crop, cut and paste. I really love this colour, you can wear it with everything and it's not too gold or shiny... Just perfect!

Este tono es KIKO 395 y el color es exactamente como lo veis en las fotos. Estas fueron tomadas sin flash y bajo la luz del sol. Sin editarlas más que recortar, copiar y pegar. Me encanta este color, se puede llevar con todo y no es demasiado dorado o brillante... ¡Simplemente perfecto!

The duochrome effect is less noticeable than I expected, and it was hard to capture with the camara (I think it's my fault, I'm not a good photographer) but it's still there.
So I wanted to recreate ChitChatNails manicure, but I don't have the palte she used (Or something that was alike) so I chose the design that showed better the colour underneath.

El efecto duocromo se ve menos de lo que esperaba, y fue complicado sacarlo en foto (Creo que es mi culpa, no soy una buena fotógrafa) pero está ahí.
Yo quería recrear la manicura de ChitChatNails, pero no tenía la placa que ella había utilizado (O algo que se le pareciera) así que escogí el diseño que dejara más a la vista el color de debajo.

As you can see the stamp was not perfect, but I loved so much the result that I didn't want to start again because one or two gaps, and my black stamping polish is getting really thick, and I wasn't sure if I was going to succeed the next time...

For this manicure I used:

Base: KIKO 395

Stamp: BM-212 Plate stamped with Deliplus Black nº58

TopCoat: Seche Vite

Como podéis ver el estampado no quedó perfecto, pero me gustó tanto que no quería volver a empezar de nuevo por una o dos imperfecciones, y ademas mi pintura negra para estampar se está espesando mucho y no sabía si me iba a quedar mejor la próxima vez...

Summer Challenge Day 15: Freestyle Day

EDIT: This was supposed to be HOT PINK FREESTYLE DAY, but I just read freestyle day and that's why there's no pink :( Tomorrow will be another day and I will do anything with Hot Pink... but not today...

Three posts in the same day!!! I can't believe it!!! But finally I don't have more late manicures, this is what we had to do for today and it's freestyle.

EDITO: Esto se supone que tenía que ser DIA DE ESTILO LIBRE EN ROSA FUCSIA, pero yo solo leí estilo libre y por eso no hay rosa por ningún lado... :( Mañana será otro día y haré algo en Rosa fucsia... pero no hoy...

Tres posts en un mismo dia!!! No me lo puedo creer!!! Pero finalmente ya no tengo más manicuras atrasadas, esta es la que teníamos que hacer para hoy y es de estilo libre.

As you can say for the lenght of my nails this is a manicure that I did some time ago and I haven't posted it yet. But I thought: Why do a new freestyle manicure when I have this manicure already done? I did It when I had to go to a wedding and my dress was black and white. It matched perfectly!

For this manicure I used:

French tips: Nagelim nº99 stamped with Deliplus nº58 and lined with silver glitter. (BM-220)

Top Coat: Konad Special Stamping Topcoat

Como os podeis imaginar por la longitud de mis uñas esta es una manicura que hice hace algún tiempo y no la había subido todavía. Pero pense: ¿Por qué hacer una manicura de estilo libre si ya tengo esta hecha? La hice cuando tuve que ir a una boda y mi vestido era blanco y negro, se complementaban perfectamente!

Summer Challenge Day 2: Chelsea Flower Show

Hi! Welcome to the second day of the Summer Challenge!! Today is about the Chelsea Flower Show and of course I had to do a mani with flowers on it.

 This is my first time stamping with more than one colour and I think it looks pretty good. 

For this manicure I used:

Sunday Challenge: Plate Ending in 5

Hi Girls!
Today is Sunday and in the Facebook group Adventures in Stamping they make a Challenge. This week's was making a manicure stamping with a plate ending in 5. I don't have a lot of plates ending in 5 so I chose BM-205.

Hoy es Domingo y en el grupo de Facebook Adventures in Stamping se hace un Reto. El de esta semana es hacer una manicura estampando con una placa que acabe en 5. No tengo muchas placas que acaben en 5, así que he escogido la BM-205.

For this manicure I used:

Base: China Glaze Ingrid nº80506

Stamp and Gradient: BM-205 plate stamped with Sofia Kosmo Silver nº12

Top Coat: Seche Vite

Then I thought it would look great with a matte finish, so I applied Essence Soft Touch nº07.

Stamp and Gradient: BM-205 estampada con Sofia Kosmo Silver nº12

Fist of all I changed the URL of the blog from mistrukisyparanoias to nailwish. I hope everyone keeps seeing my updates, please I would be so grateful if you could have a comment so I would know you still receive the updates. My new nail polish is ESSIE Shine of the times, some say that it's a dupe of Hidden Treasure, I don't know because I don't have Hidden Treasure but I love this nail polish, I have been wanting a nail polish with flakes very long time, and when I saw it at Walgreens I just bought it without thinking it!!

It has a clear base with a lot of flakies. The colours you can see change between yellow and green, mostly you would see reds and greens, but in certain lights you can see the yellow. And if you have a white base you would see blues and purples!!!!!!!

I used Shine of the Times as the base, then I used Isadora's white crackle in the tips, then stamped the thumb and ring finger in white with BM-221.

Once Upon a Time

Hola de nuevo!!! Parece mentira, dos posts en menos de una semana!! Será porque por fin estoy saliendo de un resfriado que me ha tenido entrando y saliendo de la cama durante casi dos meses... y estoy de buen humor.

Tenia ya casi olvidada esta manicura, que gustó mucho a todo el que me la vio, y que hice especialmente inspirada en el collar que se puede ver en la foto (que en inglés significa "Érase una vez...").

Hi again!! I can't believe it, two posts in less than a week!! It may be because I've had a cold for nearly two months and I am really happy because it seems that finally I'm getting well.

I've almost forgotten this manicure, everyone that saw it told me that was amazing!! I made it inspired by the necklace that can be seen in the next picture.

El estampado es de la placa BM-225 y siempre me ha recordado al árbol blanco de Minas Tirith de El Señor de los Anillos. Me encanta ese libro y por eso lo identifico con el significado de mi collar. El color que he utilizado es un verde oscuro de H&M del que no estoy muy segura del número, pero fijándome en el número que hay en el cristal de la base del bote, este color sería el nº17.

I've stamped with BM-225 plate. This little tree have always reminded me as the Minas Tirith white tree, from Lord of the Rings. I love that book, and that's why I took this stamp when I was inspired by my necklace. The colour used for the french tips was a dark green from H&M, but I'm not really sure of the number, but if I look in the glass of the bottom of the bottle it should be nº17.

Christmas Eve Mani

This post will be short because I'm not feeling very well... My life is changing and is not doing it the way I liked...

Well this is the mani I wore on Christmas' Eve.

Este post será corto porque no estoy de muy buen humor... Mi vida está dando un cambio y no precisamente como a mi me gustaria...

Bueno, esta es la manicura que llevé en Noche Buena.

It's a green and red glitter french manicure. The trees are made with the Bundle Monster Plates and I used small glitters to decorate them.

It was really fun to wear it!!!

Es una manicura francesa verde y roja hecha con purpurina. Los árboles de navidad están hechos con las placas de Bundle Monster y las bolas de navidad son purpurinas.

Fue muy divertida!!!

Falso degradado/ Fake Gradient

Hoy vamos a aprender a hacer un falso degradado en nuestras uñas. Es un tutorial muy simple pensado para aquellas personas que no son buenas con las esponjas o los pinceles de abanico, o... simplemente no tienen tiempo para hacerlo.

Esta manicura está hecha con esta técnica:

Today we are going to see how to make a fake gradient on our nails. This is a little tutorial for those who aren't good sponging or making gradients with fan brushes, or... just don't have enough time to do it.

This manicure is made with this technique:

Para hacerlo solo necesitas seguir estos tres pasos:

To do it you just have to follow the next three steps:

Escoge los tres colores con los que quieras hacer el degradado. Mentalmente, divide tu uña en tres partes y pinta cada una de ellas de un color diferente, desde el más oscuro al más claro o al revés. Yo decidí comenzar con el más claro.

No os preocupeis si las líneas no quedan perfectas, si están un poco mezcladas crearán mejor el efecto del degradado.

Cuando la pintura esté completamente seca estampa un diseño de uña entera, como se ve en la foto, esto difuminará las líneas y lo transformará en el efecto degradado. Cuanto más complicado y tupido sea el diseño más parecerá un degradado real. Así que espero que lo probéis y me conteis cómo os ha ido.

Pick three colours of your choice to make the gradient, then, in your mind, divide your nail into three parts.

Paint each part with each colour, from darker to lighter or backwards. I chose start with the lighter colour.

Don't worry if the lines are not perfect, if the edges are a little bit messed up they are going to make the gradient effect more realistic.

When the nail polish is completely dry stamp a whole nail pattern, like you see in the picture, this is going to blend the lines turning the colours into a gradient effect. The more intricated is the pattern the more it looks like a real gradient. So, I hope you all try it and tell me how did it go.

Halloween Manis y Disfraz

Este año por Halloween no he tenido dinero para comprarme un disfraz ni muchas cosas, en plan complementos... asi que ya que el año pasado el disfraz hecho por mi tuvo tanto exito decidi que este año tambien me lo haria. De todas formas, aunque yo soy de las que odia los tipicos disfraces manidos de siempre de Halloween, este año me he tirado por lo facil por falta de tiempo y me he disfrazado de Vampiresa. 

Quería hacerme un disfraz de Vampiro más estilo Victoriano así que me rice el pelo, lo que con mi pelo lacio estilo tabla de planchar me duro escasamente 3 horas a pesar de la gran cantidad de laca y espuma que lleve.

Me fabrique un tocado para el pelo, me puse un corsé... La pena es que las fotos de cuerpo entero las tiene una amiga en su camara, pero ya la estoy presionando para que me las pase. 

La verdad quede muy contenta con el resultado y a mis amigos les gusto tambien. El toque fantasmagórico y de color lo dieron mis lentillas Adult Pink que llaman mucho la atencion. 

Por supuesto no podia faltar la manicura de Halloween que llevaba

He utilizado una base negra de Deliplus, purpurina plateada, el Crackle Blanco de IsaDora y los estampados son de las placas BM-211 y BM-225.

Otra manicura de Halloween que me hice unos días antes, es esta:

 Es simplemente una base morada del chino, una capa de purpurina dorada y los estampados de las placas BM-222 y BM-224.  Las ramas tetricas del pulgar estan estampadas dos veces, una en blanco y otra en negro para darle ese efecto doble. Como se ve en la segunda foto era increible verla brillando al sol!! A mi me gustaba mucho.
