Disney Challenge Day 21: Pedro y el Dragón Elliot

Hey! Two posts in a row!
I'm catching up with all the Disney manicures that I missed and this is the last one. For this manicure I didn't want to draw a craracter with acrylics, I wanted something quickly and simple and I went for colour combination. Elliot the Dragon is green and pink and I played with those colours using the Lightning Bolt Tutorial from Nailside.

Hey! Dos posts en un mismo dia!
Me estoy poniendo al dia con las manicuras del Reto Disney y esta es la última. Para esta manicura no quería dibujar un personaje con los acrílicos, quería hacer algo rápido y sencillo y tiré hacia la combinación de colores. Elliot el Dragón es verde y rosa y he jugado con esos colores usando el Tutorial del Rayo de Nailside.

I drew a noughts and crosses board on my ring finger because I love when Elliot burns a stick and paints this game on his belly, so cute!

He dibujado un tablero de tres en raya en mi anular porque me encanta cuando Elliot quema un palo y pinta el juego en su barriga, tan tierno!

I love this picture with Elliot on the top corner. I think I'm improving on taking pictures, don't you think so?
For the lightning I used Kiko Holographic 402 from the Lavish Oriental Collection and the base is Yes Love Pastel green, yes! pastel! In the bottle it looks like a "pastel neon green" if that kind of colour can exist... it's a very special colour because it could look pastel or neon depending on what colour are you combining it with.

Me encanta esta iamgen con Elliot saliendo por la esquina de arriba. Creo que estoy mejorando en tomar fotos ¿no creeis?.
Para el rayo he usado Kiko Holographic 402 de la Colección Lavish Oriental y la base es Yes Love verde pastel ¡Si! ¡Pastel! En el bote parece un "verde neón pastel" si esa clase de color puede existir... es un tono muy especial porque puede parecer pastel o neon dependiendo del color con el que lo combines.

KIKO Lavish Oriental Collection 400 Steel Grey

Finally I have finished anwering all you comments... I'm sorry I lasted so much this time, but I've been really busy and I didn't notice there were so many comments to answer.

This is the second holographic nail polish from the Kiko Lavish Oriental Collection. A charcoal grey linear holo that is opaque in two coats. You can find the first one (399 Silk Taupe) HERE.

Por fin he terminado de responder a todos vuestros comentarios... Siento haber tardado tanto tiempo esta vez, pero he estado realmente ocupada y no me di cuenta de que había tantos comentarios que responder.

Este es el segundo pintauñas holográfico de la Colección Lavish Oriental de Kiko. Un holográfico lineal de color gris carboncillo que queda opaco en dos capas. Podeis encontrar el primero (399 Silk Taupe) AQUÏ.

As you can see the holographic effect is stronger than the nº 399 Silk Taupe effect, and this nail polish has better coberture. If you like one coaters better, you can achieve full opacity with just one thick coat. Application is absolutely perfect, no patches or holes without aqua base.

Como podeis ver el efecto holográfico es más fuerte que el del nº 399 Silk Taupe, y este pintauñas tiene una mejor cobertura. Si os gustan más los que se aplican con solo una capa podeis conseguirlo aplicando una capa más gruesa. La aplicación es absolutamente perfecta, no se crean parches o agujeros si lo usamos sin aqua base.

I like this colour more than 399 Silk Taupe, I don't know why, I think this colour looks better with my skintone.

Este color me gusta más que el 399 Silk Taupe, no sé por qué, creo que este color va mejor con el tono de mi piel.

To make this manicure a little bit more interesting I framed the ring finger with silver hex glitter. As you can see the holo is so strong you can see it even with a topcoat.

Para hacer esta manicura un poco más interesante he enmarcado en dedo corazón con glitters plateados hexagonales. Como podeis ver el holo es tan fuerte que se puede ver incluso con un topcoat.

I liked how the framed looked but I think this technique doesn't look very well on my ring finger because my nail is really curved and you can't really see the hole frame.

Me gustó como quedaba el enmarcado pero creo que esta tecnica no va muy bien con mi dedo corazón porque mi uña es demasiado curva y no se llega a ver el marco completo.

Disney Challenge Day 11: 20.000 Leguas de Viaje Submarino

Oh my God! My bedroom is empty!!! I have to go paint it so this is going to be a super-short post. I copied this manicure from a picture I found on Pinterest. I give the credit to it's owner, but I've never seen this movie, I didn't have time and I ran out of inspiration.

¡Oh Dios Mío! ¡Mi cuarto está totalmente vacío! Tengo que ir a pintarlo, así que esta entrada ve a ser súper-rápida. He copiado esta manicura de una foto que encontré en Pinterest. Todo el crédito es para su creadora, pero es que nunca he visto esta peli, no tenía tiempo para nada y además me había quedado sin inspiración.

I hope you liked it. I used Kiko nº 401 for the base and acrylic paints for the octopus.

KIKO Lavish Oriental Collection 399 Silk Taupe

The other day I was talking with other bloggers in Facebook when Silvia from Toxic Vanity told us that Kiko has released a new Limited Edition Collection of Linear Holos for the incredible price of 4,90€. I immediately went to my closest Kiko Store in Seville and bought the four of them, shame on me...
I'm going to show them to you one by one because the are amazing and deserve one post each.
As you may know Kiko doesn't have names for their polishes, just numbers, but I found on the internet that the name of this polish is nº 399 Silk Taupe.

El otro día estaba charlando con otras bloggeras por facebook cuando Silvia de Toxic Vanity nos dijo que Kiko había sacado una nueva Colección de Edición Limitada de Hologáficos Lineares por el increíble precio de 4,90€. Inmediatamente fui a la tienda de Kiko que me quedaba más cerca aquí en Sevilla y me compré los cuatro de un tirón... qué verguenza de falta de autocontrol.
Como quizás sepais Kiko no pone nombres a sus pintauñas, solo números, pero he encontrado en internet que el nombre de este pintauñas es nº 399 Silk Taupe.

Isn't it pretty? The colour is a warm toned beige with a very strong holographic effect. The aplication is heaven! You don't need an aqua base for this and if you let your first coat dry completely you can add the second without any patches or holes. It's fully opaque in two coats.

¿No es bonito? El color es un beige cálido con efecto holográfico bastante fuerte. ¡La aplicación es increíble! No se necesita de aqua base para usarlo y si dejas secar la primera capa completamente se puede añadir la segunda sin que salgan parches o agujero. Es completamente opaco en dos capas.

I wanted to make a manicure with it but I didn't want to add too much to this glorious colour so I jus added some hex holographic glitter that I bought the other day at a Euro Store.

Quería hacer una manicura aprovechando este color tan increíble, pero no quería taparlo demasiado, así que simplemente añadí unos glitters holográficos hexagonales que compré el otro día en una tienda de todo a un Euro.

It's a manicure that I would wear anytime. The holo is less strong here because of the topcoat, it seems that the topcoat that goes better with this holos is the Deliplus Fast Dry Top Coat, it make it more subtle but still very noticeable.

Es una manicura que llevaría en cualquier momento. El holo es menos fuerte aquí por culpa del topcoat, parece que el topcoat que va mejor con estos holos es el Topcoat de secado rápido de Deliplus, lo hace más débil pero aún se nota mucho en el sol.

MSMD Kiko 395

Hi! Today I'm really happy because I finally am able to make an MSMD of THIS amazing manicure from ChitChatNails. When I saw it the day she posted it I instantly fell in love with the colour, but you know I don't have a lot of money to spend on nailpolish (I wish I could) so Chanel Peridot was way out of my reach. But the other day, my absolutely lovable boyfriend bought me this amazing polish, which luckily was a very good dupe for Peridot. (I know there is a very good review on the internet but for no reason I can't find it now)

¡Hola! Hoy estoy muy contenta porque por fin he podido hacer una MSMD de ESTA manicura increíble de ChitChatNails. Cuando la ví el día que la subió me enamoré del color al momento, pero como ya sabeis no tengo mucho dinero para gastar en pinturas de uñas (ojalá lo tuviera) así que el Peridot de Chanel quedaba bastante fuera de mi alcance. Pero el otro día, mi agradable, estupendo, amoroso y fantasticoso novio me compró esta pintura de uñas, que resultó ser un buen clon del Peridot. (Hay en algun lugar de internet una comparacion muy buena pero por alguna razón no soy capaz de encontrarla ahora)

This shade is KIKO 395 and the colour is just you can see in the pictures. This were taken without flash and under the sunlight. Without more editing that crop, cut and paste. I really love this colour, you can wear it with everything and it's not too gold or shiny... Just perfect!

Este tono es KIKO 395 y el color es exactamente como lo veis en las fotos. Estas fueron tomadas sin flash y bajo la luz del sol. Sin editarlas más que recortar, copiar y pegar. Me encanta este color, se puede llevar con todo y no es demasiado dorado o brillante... ¡Simplemente perfecto!

The duochrome effect is less noticeable than I expected, and it was hard to capture with the camara (I think it's my fault, I'm not a good photographer) but it's still there.
So I wanted to recreate ChitChatNails manicure, but I don't have the palte she used (Or something that was alike) so I chose the design that showed better the colour underneath.

El efecto duocromo se ve menos de lo que esperaba, y fue complicado sacarlo en foto (Creo que es mi culpa, no soy una buena fotógrafa) pero está ahí.
Yo quería recrear la manicura de ChitChatNails, pero no tenía la placa que ella había utilizado (O algo que se le pareciera) así que escogí el diseño que dejara más a la vista el color de debajo.

As you can see the stamp was not perfect, but I loved so much the result that I didn't want to start again because one or two gaps, and my black stamping polish is getting really thick, and I wasn't sure if I was going to succeed the next time...

For this manicure I used:

Base: KIKO 395

Stamp: BM-212 Plate stamped with Deliplus Black nº58

TopCoat: Seche Vite

Como podéis ver el estampado no quedó perfecto, pero me gustó tanto que no quería volver a empezar de nuevo por una o dos imperfecciones, y ademas mi pintura negra para estampar se está espesando mucho y no sabía si me iba a quedar mejor la próxima vez...

Estampado: Placa BM-212 estampada con Deliplus Black nº58

TopCoat: Seche Vite
