Guest Post: Popping Nails

Hi Girls!
Charlie, from Popping Nails  is a lovely girl that I met during the Seven Deadly Sins Challenge, I loved all her work and I wanted you to know her because if you love nail art you will also love her blog. Just look what she has done for today!! So freakin' cute!! Just perfect for me, I love it...

Hola Chicas!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi everyone first let me introduce myself, I'm Charlie from the blog Popping Nails. I was part of the Seven Deadly Sins Challenge with Helena and when she asked me to do this guest post for her I jumped at the chance as I loved her work during the challenge. I wanted to do something special for these nails and whenever I need to do that, I go back to what I'm best at which I describe as character nails. I had had the idea of doing Disney nails for a while so I thought I'd take my opportunity now.

Going from my thumb across I have Mickey Mouse, Daffy Duck, Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse and Pluto. I personally think Donald turned out the best but I'm thrilled with the overall look. To create Mickey and Minnie Mouse I used Barry M Pinky Caramel as my base, Barry M Black, Sinful Colors Snow Me White, Barry M Coral for Minnie's bow and that same coral mixed with Barry M Strawberry Ice Cream for the mouths. Donald and Daffy Duck are done with Snow Me White as the base, Barry M Yellow for the beaks, Barry M Strawberry Ice Cream and Cobalt Blue for the bow and hat and that same blue mixed with white for the eyes. Finally on Pluto I used Butter London Bumster for the base colour and with a bit of black mixed in for the facial lines. I then used the same black and white as before and finished with Strawberry Ice Cream for the tongue. I know that was a lot of polishes but I think they're worth it.

I want to thank Helena for asking me to do this post as I had so much fun doing this design and I hope you all like it as well!

Guest Post: The Clockwise Nail Polish

Hi!!
I had some amazing guest bloggers left from the time I was away and I wasn't going to forget them!! Also I wanted you to know them because they are stunning!! Today we have Cristina from The Clockwise Nail Polish, I love her stamping manicures and I really suggest you go check her blog! But today she has something different just for you.

Hola!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello there!! :)

What a pleasure to be here in Nailwish! Hello to you! I'm Cristina from Portugal and you can find me at The Clockwise Nail Polish blog. I follow Helena since like... for ever! I can't even number the times her nail art work, creativity and manicures blown me away... I think you understand me quite well lol. So, it was with a lot of excitement that I said yes (!) to be here today :) But then come the issue... what to do?! I took a lot of time to think of something and eventually decided to do what I've been wanting to do for a couple of months: a pastel galaxy nail art.
The trick about pastel galaxies is that there's no glitters to it; it was also a difficult task to choose polishes. I started by painting my nails white with China Glaze Snow (3 coats). After dry the fun begun! Using a piece of a makeup sponge I randomly sponged Kiko 385 Blue Pastello, Elixir Make-Up Nº 62 and Pastel Nº100; I assure you it was a coincidence to use only European polishes hehe :p Next was the stars. Normally here I would use a glitter polish in a traditional galaxy nail art. But as a pastel nail art, I did dots here and there using a dotting tool and China Glaze Snow :)
China Glaze Snow, Kiko 285 Blu Pastello, Elixir make-up Nº62 and Pastel Nº100
What do you think?? Do you prefer the traditional galaxies or would you try a pastel one? I assure you I love this version! It stayed in my nails for three days :p I'm now crazy and want to try more pastel shades like purple, pink, yellow, white...! Endless possibilities :p Nail wish readers and Helena, I'm repeating myself but it was a huge pleasure to be here! :D Kisses to you all! :)

Guest Post: Mis Potingadas y Más

Hi Everyone!
As you might know, Xiito from Mis Potingadas y Más and I have been very good friends, so when I decided to invite some bloggers to do guest posts for my blog I couldn't miss her.I hope you like what she has done for all of you and that you make her feel like home.

Hola a Todos!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hola!!

Hi! My friend Nail Wish  has given me the pleasure of doing this "guest post". I hope you like my humble proposal.

I introduce myself, my name is Xiito and my blog is http://mispotingadasymas.blogspot.com. I write a little bit about everything there, like nail art, looks, hauls, reviews, outfits ... I update daily so it's easy not get boring with my blog.

For this post I decided  to do a lace manicure with a very special base. The nail polish is the 646 Starry Black  of Sugar Mat  of Kiko. This is with sugar or sand finish:

Para hacer el tono más especial, y poder hacer decoraciones con nail art con más facilidad, apliqué un top coat mate, lo que dejo la base preciosa. Luego con acrílico blanco y un pincel fino hice los detalles de encajes:

To make more special the tone, and to make easily the nail art decorations, I applied a matte top coat. Then with white acrylic and a fine brush I made lace details:

¿Os gustan los encajes? ¿Y la combinación? ¿Os lo haríais?

Do you like laces? And the colour? Would you wear it?

Besitos
Kisses

Guest Post: Spektor's Nails

Hi Everyone!!
I hope you all are having a good Monday! This week we are going to have more amazing guest posts just because I am still with lots of things to do and also I want you to know some of my favourite bloggers! Today is Judith's turn, she is the blogger behind Spektor's Nails and she is so amazing!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm Judith from Spektor's Nails and I'm very excited to be a guest blogger for Helena!
Obviously I wanted this post to be something very special, so I decided to combine the two things that I'm really fussy about at the moment:

First, that is the Cheeky stamping plate called Viva Mexico (http://www.cheeky-beauty.com/cheeky-new-2013-collection-of-jumbo-nailart-polish-stamp-stamping-manicure-image-plates-accessories-set-kit-nail-art-jumbo-image-plate-1-viva-mexico/), which is such a beautiful plate! Second, that is the technique of making your own nail decals with stamped designs.

So what I did is stamp three designs of the Viva Mexico plate onto a base of clear nail polish applied onto a plastic bag. Then I filled out the design with acrylic paint and covered it with another coat of clear nail polish. After letting it dry, I removed the nail polish decals with tweezers and applied them one by one onto a wet coat of white nail polish. This took me forever to do, but it was definitely worth the time! It's probably the most colorful design I ever had on my nails!

Thank you for reading and thank you Helena for having me on your blog! :)

Guest Post: Polished Elegance

Hi!!
Today is here Lisa from Polished Elegance, I discovered her blog not so long ago, but I immediately followed her because I lover her hard work, clean manicures and amazing pictures!! I am sure you will love her too.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello! My name is Lisa, and I have my little blog Polished Elegance where I share my adventures in nail polish and nail art. I am so happy to be able to do a guest blog for Helena while she is busy moving, and to my neighbor country no less! I’ve been following her blog for a while and I absolutely love everything she does, and also her creative makeup, it’s so much fun!

I was scratching my head for a few days trying to figure out what to do for this guest post. Then one day, the new polishes I’d ordered from OPI’s San Francisco collection, and my new Cheeky stamping plates dumped into my mail box, on the same day! And I knew I had to use some of these new pretties to create a mani worthy of Helena’s blog ;)

For this mani I applied two coats of OPI – Alcatraz… Rocks on the pinky, two coats of OPI – My Vampire Is Buff on ring and middle, and two coats of OPI – Peace & Love & OPI on my index and thumb.

I applied one coat of Poshé top coat to all nails except pinky, to speed up drying, and when it was dry I stamped on my middle and ring. I stamped using OPI – Peace & Love & OPI and Cheeky jumbo plate #7 – Home Sweet Home. To seal the stamping I applied one more coat of Poshé.

Peace & Love & OPI worked pretty well for stamping actually! It’s not completely opaque as you can see, but that might be because of my stamping skills as well, not just the polish :p It’s a gorgeous shimmery gray duo chrome polish, it shifts to green and pinkish purple and the color shift is pretty visible no matter what kind of light you are in. It also photographed well, so you can easily see the color shift in these pictures, isn’t it pretty?

Alcatraz… Rocks is also from the San Francisco collection, one of the liquid sand polishes, and the only liquid sand I like from that collection. However, it is so incredibly beautiful it weighs up for the two ugly ones I’m not as fond of. In the picture below you can see the glitter sparkle in this polish, and it sparkles like this all the time, even in the shade!

I hope you guys like my mani! And that it’s worthy of being posted here ;) Please do come visit me over at my blog Polished Elegance. I’ll leave you with a couple more pictures of this mani, and thank you so much Helena for letting me spam your blog! ;)

Guest Post: In Jeeb We Trust

Hi Everyone!!
We have today another girl from that I met through the Seven Deadly Sins Challenge. I loved all her work and dedication and I thought you would like it too, so I asked her to make a guest post! I hope you enjoy it.
Bye

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey all! Hola a todos!
I'm jeebjeeb from In Jeeb We Trust. I'm so honoured that Helena asked me to do a guest post! I had so much fun taking part in her Seven Deadly Sins challenge a few months ago. Since then I've been drooling over her stunning manicures and eye makeup. (Can you believe her Pokemon eye looks? So awesome!) I was totally shocked when she contacted me. What?! Little old jeebjeeb?! That moment when you feel both yay and oh no! (This is my first guest post.) I decided to play it a little safe with one of my favourite techniques. Splatter :)

I love splatter. The chaos. The colour. The originality. Splatters are like snowflakes, no two are alike. I loved how this manicure turned out. The colours are so fantastic together. What do you think?

As my base (and splatter) I used Zoya - Purity and on my index Sally Hansen - Black Out. My splatter colours are Nubar - On the Radar & My New Obsession. I love the black accent finger. Makes me think of Japanese tea cups. I mean, splatters are the essence of wabi-sabi, are they not? :)

I would like to thank Helena for giving me this moment to shine. Muchas gracias! I hope you enjoyed my art! Have a great day and an awesome manicure!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi everyone! I'm Nicole from Nail Polish Wars, and I'm so excited to be hanging out here at Nail Wish today!!

I started off with two coats of KBShimmer The Grape Beyond.

Next, I added one coat of KBShimmer Would Jubilee It?, a clear coat loaded with a gorgeous blend of multi-sized blue, teal, and bright pink dots and micro slices.  I followed with one coat of SV.

I paired Barry M Silver Foil with Shany plate SH04 for my ring fingers and Bundle Monster plate BM-213 for my other fingers.

I finished with one coat of Essie Matte About You top coat, and also added a pale blue rhinestone to my ring finger for a little something extra.

Not only do I love mattified glitters, but I also adore the matte silver as well.

I had so much creating this design, and I really hope you enjoyed seeing it as well.

Thanks so much for letting me hang out here at Nail Wish today!!  Happy Painting!

Guest Post: Nails Like Lace

Hi everyone!
Right now I am taking a plane to Sweden to start my Erasmus experience (That you can follow through my other blog "Un Erasmus de Bolsillo"),so I asked the amazing Amber from Nails Like Lace to do a guest post for you while I am away. I hope you enjoy it!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello lovely Nail Wish readers! Amber from NailsLikeLace here today! I was so honoured when Helena asked me to guest post, that there was no way I could say no!

You may or may not know that I am a HUGE fan of fishtail braid manicures. It is one of my all-time favourite looks. So today, I have one to share with you!

I used black and white acrylic paint for the fishtail braid, with Claire's color-changing polish Day Dream on the rest of my nails.

One of the things I love about this pretty glitter is that it is gorgeous with the fishtail braid indoors, and outside!

The color shift is intense, and it just sparkles like crazy!

Unfortunately, topcoat does diminish the color-change effect a little. It isn't much, but it is noticeable. Topcoat is necessary for a smooth finish, though, with this one!

So I hope you liked my fishtail braid! They are actually a lot easier to create than they look, and are so much fun!

Everyone have a wonderful day, and thank you so much again to Helena for having me!!

¡Buenos días!

Secretary's Nail Art Guest Post

Hi Girls!
While I'm on Italy, enjoying my holidays again :) The generous Dina from Secretary's Nail Art is going to show you a beautiful manicure. I am sure you are going to like it!

                                ------------------------------------------------------------

Hola Chicas!

Greetings everyone. I am Dina, from Secretary`s Nail Art I have been asked to do a Guest Post while Helena is away.
She does some amazing nail art, and I hope you will like what I have for you today.

I wanted a flirty and girly manicure, and since I just got nail mail from Models Own, they seems like a good idea to start.

This is two coats of Gold Rush from Models Own.

Isn`t it lovely.

Lately I have been loving gradients, and this was no exception. I cut a tiny piece of make-up sponge, and used Mystic Mauve from Models Own. Sponging from the middle and working it up to the tip of the nails.

Then I grabbed my Bundlemonster plate from the the 2012 collection, number 314. I stamped using my WnW Black Creme, its one of my favorite stamping polishes.

xoxo

I told you you were going to like it! I have to get my hands on the new Bundle Monster Plates, the new designs are amazing!
See You soon!

                                          ------------------------------------------------------------
