Ahora mismo estoy en un avión de camino a Suecia para comenzar mi experiencia Erasmus (Que podéis seguir desde mi otro blog "Un Erasmus de Bolsillo"), así que le he pedido a la increíble Amber de Nails Like Lace que hiciera un guest post para vosotros mientras estoy fuera, espero que os guste!

Hello lovely Nail Wish readers! Amber from NailsLikeLace here today! I was so honoured when Helena asked me to guest post, that there was no way I could say no!

You may or may not know that I am a HUGE fan of fishtail braid manicures. It is one of my all-time favourite looks. So today, I have one to share with you!

I used black and white acrylic paint for the fishtail braid, with Claire's color-changing polish Day Dream on the rest of my nails.

One of the things I love about this pretty glitter is that it is gorgeous with the fishtail braid indoors, and outside!

The color shift is intense, and it just sparkles like crazy! 

Unfortunately, topcoat does diminish the color-change effect a little. It isn't much, but it is noticeable. Topcoat is necessary for a smooth finish, though, with this one!

So I hope you liked my fishtail braid! They are actually a lot easier to create than they look, and are so much fun!

Seven Deadly Sins Challenge Day 3: Gluttony

Hi Girls!
New week, new Deadly Sin! This one is Gluttony, one of my favourites because I love food!!! I love eating all the nasty greasy food I should not be eaten because It's unhealthy, but well, I don't have enough money to eat fast food everyday, so I think I'm behaving well. Also one interesting fact is that when I have been eating a lot of meat my body "tells" me that I need vegetables and I surprise myself doing just a salad for dinner and enjoying it!

Nueva semana, nuevo Pecado! Este es Gula, uno de mis favoritos porque me encanta la comida!!! Me encanta comer toda la comida grasienta y asquerosa que sé que no deberá comer porque no es sano, pero bueno, no tengo suficiente dinero como para comer comida rápida todos los días, así que creo que me estoy portando bien. También una cosa curiosa es que cuando llevo mucho tiempo comiendo carne mi cuerpo me "dice" que necesito verduras, y me sorprendo a mi misma cenando solo una ensalada y disfrutándolo!

The prompt for the first manicure says: "Delight yourself with a Sugar Spun manicure".
And that's what I did, but more than sugar I wanted it to look like melted chocolate, and I think it does! I used Flormar 400 for the base, and Kiko 323 for the melted chocolate. I wanted to see two different kinds of chocolate, dark and with milk, so for the second one I mixed the white and the brown.



Las instrucciones para la primera manicura dice: "Date el gusto con una manicura Sugar Spun".
Y eso es lo que hice, pero más que azúcar quería que pareciera chocolate derretido, y creo que lo parece! He utilizado Flormar 400 para la base y Kiko 323 para el chocolate derretido. Quería ver dos tipos diferentes de chocolate, negro y con leche, así que para el segundo mezclé el blanco y el marrón.

For all of those who don't know how to do the Sugar Spun technique I will give you some directions, but I warn you I'm not even near of master this technique...

1. Prep your base colour and let it dry completely.
2. Put a big blob of the colour you want to use for the sugar spun on a piece of paper and start stirring it with a toothpick until it becomes sticky and starts making strings when you pull out the toothpick.
3. Start pulling the polish strings on the top of your nail, try to cover the nail evenly, or the part where you want the sugar spun look (It depends on your design)
4. Apply topcoat (or not)

On this manicure I did't used topcoat because I wanted the texture, and if you apply topcoat you even the surface of the nail.



Para todos los que no sepan como hacer la técnia del Sugar Spun os voy a dar algunas instrucciones, pero os aviso que a mi no se me da demasiado bien...

1. Prepara tu color de base y dejalo secar completamente.
2. Pon un poco de esmalte en un papel y comienza a removerlo con un palillo hasta que se ponga pegajoso y empiece a hacer hilos cuando sacas el palillo.
3. Comienza a sacar los hilos de esmalte y a ponerlos encima de tu uña, intenta cubrir la uña uniformemente, o la parte en la que quieras el sugar spun (depende de tu diseño)
4. Aplica una capa de topcoat (o no)

Ene esta manicura no he utilizado topcoat porque queía aprovechar la textura, y si aplicas topcoat se iguala la superficie de la uña.

Reto Loving Cosmetic #2: Love

I'm back! I am really sorry I disappeared without giving any explanations... I just had a rough month and I needed some space... I am ashamed that I couldn't finish the Valentines Challenge, but I am going to finish the Loving Cosmetic Challenge!
This is the last week's manicure, inspired by Love, I decided to show toy what I wore for Valentine's Day, a simple but cute framed manicure...

He vuelto! Siento mucho haber desaparecido sin dar explicaciones... Simplemente he tenido un mes duro y necesitaba un poco de espacio... Es toy muy avergonzada por no haber podido terminar el reto de San Valentín, pero voy a terminar el de Loving Cosmetic!
Esta manicura es la que tocaba la semana pasada, inspirada en el amor, y he decidido enseñaros lo que llevé en San Valentín, una manicure delineada, simple pero mona...

When I thought about this manicure I realized that I don't have any pale pink nail polish!! So I made my own using China Glaze Princess Graze and Yves Rocher Pastel Brillance, then I framed my nails and wrote the word LOVE with dark brown Acrylic Paint.



Cuando pensé en hacer esta manicura me di cuenta de que no tengo ningún esmalte rosa palo!! Así que he hecho el mío propio mezclando China Glaze Princess Graze y Yves Rocher Pastel Brillance, luego delineé mis uñas y escribí la palabra Love con Pintura Acrílica marrón oscuro.

I want to ask you a question, do you like the pictures that I've been uploading lately? The ones with the black background. I've been using my new lightbox, but I'm not really sure if you can really see an improvement on the quality of the photos.



Os quiero hacer una pregunta, os gustan las fotos que he estado subiendo últimamente? Las que tienen el fondo negro. He estado usando mi lightbox nueva, pero no estoy segura de si realmente se nota una mehora en la calidad de las fotos.

Reto Loving Cosmetic #1: Dulce

Hi Girls!
This new Challenge was created by Daniela from the blog Loving Cosmetics and I have been kindly invited to join, the theme for today is Inspired by something sweet and I had the perfect manicure done already!
This is a manicure I did for Christmas, but I wasn't able to post, so, instead of keep it waiting a whole year until next Christmas I thought of using it for the first day of this new Challenge.

Este Reto nuevo ha sido creado por Daniela del blog Loving Cosmetics y he sido amablemente invitada, el tema de hoy es Inspirado por un dulce y ya tenía la manicura perfecta hecha!
Esta es una manicura que hice para navidades, pero no tuve tiempo de subirla, asi que, en vez de dejarla esperando un año hasta las próximas navidades he pensado usarla para el primer día de este reto.

This manicure is inspired on a Christmas dessert called Christmas Pudding. Even it looks like it's made with chocolate it's a fruits pudding, covered with rum or brandy butter. It looks delicious and I'm thinking of baking one for the next Christmas.



Esta manicura está inspirada en un postre de Navidad llamado Pudding de Navidad. Aunque parezca que lleva chocolate es un pudding de frutas, cubierto con una salsa de mantequilla con ron o brandy. Se ve delicioso y estoy pensando en hacer uno para las próximas Navidades.

I started with one coat of Kiko 323 and freehanded the cream and the mistletoe with acrylic paints. I hope you don't mind this manicure is a little out of season...



Comencé con una capa de Kiko 323 y pinté la salsa y el muérdago con pinturas acrílicas. Espero que no os importe que la manicura sea un poco fuera de temporada...

Louis Vuitton Nails

Hi Girls!!
This is a programmed post, because right now I am studying really really hard for my final exam that is next Wednesday. I'm so nervous!!
Do you remember the Glequins that Born Pretty Store sent me? They also sent me as a gift this Stamping Plate. At first I was going to try the English Flag Stamping first, because it looks really interesting that you need to use two stamps to make one design, but finally I decided to try one of the designs I have been dying to have since I bought my first plate, the Louis Vuitton Logo!

Este es un post programado, porque ahora mismo estoy estudiando muy muy fuerte oara mi examen final, que el es Miércoles. Estoy tan nerviosa!!
Os acordais de los Glequins que me envió Born Pretty Store? También me enviaron de regalo esta Placa de estampación. Al principio iba a probar la estampación de la bandera Inglesa, porque me parece muy interesante que esté diseñado para usar dos estampados diferentes para conseguir un único diseño, pero al final decidí probar uno de los dibujos que llevo queriendo tener desde que compré mi primera placa, el Logo de Louis Vuitton!

I also loved this manicure because the base colour is China Glaze For Audrey, a Chistmas Gift to myself, and I discovered is really good for stamping!! A pretty colour that stamps very well over dark colours? What else can I ask for? The brown polish is Kiko 323 (Such an ugly name for such a pretty colour)

También me ha encantado esta manicure porque el color de base es China Glaze For Audrey, un Regalto de Navidad de mí para mí, y he descubierto que estampa genial!! Un color tan bonito que estampa tan bien sobre colores oscuros? Qué más puedo pedir? El esmalte marrón es Kiko 323 (Un nombre demasiado feo para un color tan bonito)

I liked the designs a lot, but I was worried because I had heard the Born Pretty Designs were too small and I was afraid they didn't cover my entire nail, well, I was wrong, I am not sure if they have increased the size or not, but they fit perfectly and I compared them to my Bundle Monster Plates and more or less they were the same size.


Esta es la placa de estampación QA39 que podeis encontrar pinchando en el enlace en la tienda de Born Pretty.
Me encantaron los diseños, pero estaba preocupada porque había oído que eran demasiado pequeños y tenía miedo de que no me cubrieran la uña completa, bueno, pues estaba equivocada, no estoy segura de si han aumentado el tamaño o no, pero son perfectos, además los comparé con las Placas de Bundle Monster y más o menos son del mismo tamaño.

The designs were very well engraved and they transferred to the stamper perfectly. And, in case you were wondering, I use a Credit Card to scrap the polish and a Konad Stamper.
These looked so well that my mother, who doesn't like to wear anything on her nails, asked me to make the same on hers.



Los diseños están muy bién grabados y se transfirieron al tampón perfectamente. Y, en el caso de que os lo estéis preguntando, suelo usar una Tarjeta de Crédito para retirar el exceso de esmalte y un Tampón de Konad.
Esta manicura quedó tan bonita que hast ami madre, a la que no le gusta llevar nada en las uñas, me pidió que le hiciera lo mismo en las suyas.

Wow! Hi Girls!
I have been procrastinating since lunchtime and I think it's time to make a post...
I told you I was going to show you the New Year's Eve Manicure yesterday, but the truth is I had to go to the ophthalmologist to get my eyes checked and they discovered I have long-sightedness and astigmatism on my left eye and now I need to wear glasses when I am reading or with the computer... They used some dilating drops that made me blind all day, so I wasn't able to write anything or take pictures. In addition my New Year's Manicure chipped before I could take pictures of it... But happily, yesterday I got Nail Mail from BornPretty Store!! Which leaded to a funny moment because I was still blind and I had to sign the Postman sheet...

He estado posponiendo el escribir la entrada desde la hora de comer y creo que ya es hora...
Os dije que os iba a enseñar la manicura de Noche Vieja ayer, pero la verdad es que tuve que ir al oftalmólogo para que me revisaran la vista y me dijeron que tengo hipermetropía y astigmatismo en mi ojo izquierdo y ahora tengo que llevar gafas para leer o el ordenador... Me echaron unas gotas dilatadoras que me dejaron ciega para todo el día, así que no pude escribir ni tomar fotos de nada. Además mi manicura de Noche Vieja se estropeó antes de poder tomarle fotos... Pero al menos ayer me llego Nail Mail de Bornpretty Store!! Lo que llevó a una situación graciosa porque estaba ciega todavía y tuve que firmar la hoja del cartero...
Espero que esteis listos para un post con muchas fotos!

Halloween Challenge #7: Pumpkins

Today I had an amazing day shopping with Xiito from Mis Potingadas y Más and Pili from La Fabulosa Historia. Two blogs that you should check! That's why this post it's going to be so short. Today the theme for the Halloween Challenge is Pumkins!! I wanted to do something cute and realistic (kinda) and that's what I did.

Hoy he tenido un día increíble porque he ido de compras con Xiito de Mis Potingadas y Mas y Pili de La Fabulosa Historia. Dos blogs que os recomiendo totalmente! Por eso este post va a ser tan corto. Hoy el tema del Reto de Halloween es Calabazas!! Y yo quería hacer algo mono y realista (mas o menos) y esto es lo que he hecho.

I started with two coats of Catrice Sing Oh! Chapmps Elisees, then I did a french manicure with brown hex glitter (The picture is not showing the real colour) and then freehanded the pumpkins with acrylic paints.
I hope you liked it, maybe tomorrow I will edit and add more pictures, but right now I don't have time ;)

Comencé con dos capas de Catrice Sing Oh! Chapmps Elisees, luego hice una manicura francesa con glitters marrones (En la foto no se aprecia el color) y por último dibujé las calabazas con pinturas acrílicas.
Espero que os haya gustado, tal vez mañana edite el post y añada más fotos, pero ahora mismo no tengo tiempo ;)

Esmaltofílicas, El Reto #1: Retro

¡Hola a todos!
Hoy comienzo un nuevo reto (Sí, otro más) que tenía mucha ilusión por comenzar: Esmaltofílicas, El Reto.
Los posts de este reto van a ser en Español únicamente en honor a este grupo de Esmaltofílicas de Facebook que precisamente fue creado para dar apoyo a las comunidades de nail art que fueran hispanohablantes.
Para el que no sepa de qué va es simplemente un grupo de facebook de adictas a los esmaltes y al nail art que hablamos Español y que echábamos en falta una comunidad de este tipo donde no nos limitara las barrera del lenguaje, ya que en la gran mayoría se habla en inglés, y por mucho que una sepa a veces no se puede expresar lo que se quiere decir bien y frustra un poco... Os invito a que participeis tanto en el Reto como en el grupo pinchando en el banner que hay en la barra lateral. Todo el mundo es bienvenido sea de donde sea.
Y bueno, vamos a lo que venimos hoy, la primera manicura de este primer reto grupal.

La temática es retro, así que aprovechando que estamos ya en otoño, escogí un estampado muy retro y colores muy otoñales.

Es muy sencilla de hacer, simplemente hay que utilizar tres dotting tools de tamaños diferentes y ya está. El esmalte que llevo de base es el KIKO 323, un marrón chocolate precioso y super brillante, excepto en el dedo anular no tuve que utilizar topcoat. Y para el estampado utilicé dos esmaltes de Bourjois, el Jaune Trendy y el Orange Creation.

Espero que os haya gustado tanto como a mi, que me encantó lo simple pero resultona que quedó, a todo el mundo le gustó. Un besazo para todos los lectores!!!!

Swap con El Tocador de Bella

She had already told me that she was going to sent me one of the new Flormar Duochromes but I couldn't expect all the amazing stuff she sent!!

Let's have a closer look!! We are going to start with the non-polish things.

Vamos a verlos de cerca! Empezamos con las cositas que no son esmaltes.

Millions of Rhinestones of all shapes and colours, and some things to stick to the nails like hearts, beads, stars...

Millones de brillantitos de todas las formas y colores, y algunas cosillas para pegar en las uñas como corazoncitos, bolitas, estrellas...

Very fine glitter in all this colours, the one on the left is brown. / Glitter muy fino en todos estos colores, el de la izquierda es marron.

Medium Pink hex glitter, a really big bottle!! I will have pink glitter for a very very long time!

Gliter hexagonal rosa de tamaño mediano, un bote muy grande!! Voy a tener glitter rosa durante muuucho tiempo!!

Some fimo canes, how cute is the Toad Mushroom? But my favourite is the butterfly, it's so detailed!

Algunas barritas de fimo, ¿a que es mona la setita Toad? Pero mi favorita es la mariposa, tiene mucho detalle.

A Vanilla Lip Balm that works like heaven and smells really well with this super cute owl packaging, and finally these girly-cute-glittery-superawesome nail files!!

Un Cacao de Vainilla que va genial y huele aún mejor con esta presentación de buhitos tan super mona, y finalmente estas limas superincreíbles-monosas-y-chulas!!

And then the polish stuff!! These beauties from Primark. The green one is really special, is a glittery duochrome that changes between green and pink. They are all very good for stamping!

Y por fin las cositas de esmaltes! Estas preciosidades de Primark. El verde es muy especial, es un esmalte escarchado con efecto duocrome que cambia entre verde y rosa. Y todos son buenos para estampar!

And also all these too! Kiko 323 Chocolate Brown, Flormar Miracle Colors U18, two Glow in the Dark polishes from Easy Paris and Yes Love, and finally Flormar Golden Duochrome DC02!!!

Sunday Challenge: Plate Ending in 5

Hi Girls!
Today is Sunday and in the Facebook group Adventures in Stamping they make a Challenge. This week's was making a manicure stamping with a plate ending in 5. I don't have a lot of plates ending in 5 so I chose BM-205.

Hoy es Domingo y en el grupo de Facebook Adventures in Stamping se hace un Reto. El de esta semana es hacer una manicura estampando con una placa que acabe en 5. No tengo muchas placas que acaben en 5, así que he escogido la BM-205.

For this manicure I used:

Base: China Glaze Ingrid nº80506

Stamp and Gradient: BM-205 plate stamped with Sofia Kosmo Silver nº12

Top Coat: Seche Vite

Then I thought it would look great with a matte finish, so I applied Essence Soft Touch nº07.

Para esta manicura he usado:

Jungle Prints

Esta es otra de las manicuras que tenía atrasadas. No es precisamente un estilo que a mi me vaya, pero fue muy divertida y bastante espectacular. Está hecha completamente a mano, pero sorprendentemente no me llevo demasiado tiempo.

This is another mani that did a long time ago. I don't usually wear animal prints but it was fun to do and very eye-catching! It's completely free handed, but surprisingly it didn't took me a long time to do.

Lo siento, pero no recuerdo qué colores utilicé para esta manicura, aunque si puedo decir que fueron todos comprados en los chinos. Jaja.

Para hacer esta manicura me inspiré en este video hecho por IHaveaCupcake que tiene colgados en youtube un montón de manicuras increíbles!! Os animo a que os paseis por su canal tanto si estais faltos de inspiración como si simplemente quereis ver algunas manicuras alucinantes.
