Reto Oh Oh Oh! #9: Confetti!

Happy New Year to Everyone!!!
Here at my house everything is a mess! We are waiting for all the family to come for dinner and the table is half set, the dinner is being cooked...
We have to say goodbye to the old year 2012 as well as this wonderful Challenge. This is the last manicure of the Oh Oh Oh! Challenge created by Xiito and I want to dedicate it to her because I know she loves the white base manicures.

Aquí en mi casa todo está hecho un desastre! Estamos esperando a que la familia venga a cenar y la mesa esta medio puesta, la cena se esta haciendo...
Tenemos que decirle adiós al Año Viejo 2012 igual que a este maravilloso Reto. Esta es la última manicura del Reto Oh Oh Oh! creado por Xiito y se la quiero dedicar a ella porque sé que le encantan las manicuras con base blanca.

What's better to make confetti than a jelly sandwich with Flormar 400 and Essence Circus Confetti? I loved this combination, it reminds me of China Glaze It's A Trap-eze from the Cirque du Soleil Collection, but less packed and with a milky base instead of jelly. For the ring finger I decided to mix some pastel beads and make a caviar nail. What do you think?



Qué mejor para hacer confetti que un jelly sandwich con Flormar 400 y Essence Circus Confetti? Me ha encantado esta combinación, me recuerda al It's A Trap-eze de la Coleccion Cirque du Soleil, pero menos compacto y con base milky en vez de jelly. Para el dedo anular decidí mezclar algunas bolitas de color pastel y hacer una uña caviar. ¿Que os parece?

This manicure is not what I'm going to wear on New Year's Eve, I will update those on Wednesday. I hope you liked as much as I do. Have fun tonight!!!

Reto Oh Oh Oh #8: Regalos

Hi!!
Thank you for all your support through my illness... (It sounds like I'm dying) I'm feeling much better. Sadly the Christmas challenges are ending and this is one of the last days. If you were looking for Christmas gift nails I have the ones I did for the Winter Challenge Here, but today I have another kind of Christmas gift nails.

Gracias por vuestro apoyo durante mi enfermedad... (Suena como si me estuviera muriendo) Ya me siento mucho mejor. Tristemente los retos de Navidad ya se están terminando y hoy es uno de los últimos días. Si estabais buscando una manicura de regalos de navidad podeis ver la que hice para el Winter Challenge Aquí, pero hoy  traigo otro tipo de uñas con regalitos navideños.

And you might say... Gifts? I can't see gifts anywhere over here... Well, they are!! One of my Christmas/Birthday Gifts have been the 2012 Bundle Monster set! Which I have been wanting to have since they were released, but for cosmic reasons, I have been not able to buy.



Y podréis decir... Regalos? No veo regalos por ningún lado... Bueno, sí que los hay!! uno de mis Regalos de Navidad/Cumpleaños ha sido el Set del 2012 de Placas de Estampación de Bundle Monster! Las cuales he estado deseando tener desde que las sacaron, pero por razones cósmicas, no he podido comprar.

For this skittle stamping manicure I used two different stamping plates, two gradients and silver holographic glequins.

Index: H&M Miss Stone Heart sponged with Flormar 400
Middle: H&M Miss Stone Heart stamped with the heart design from BM-317 using Easy Paris nº48.
Ring: Flormar 400 sponged with H&M Miss Stone Heart and then stamped with the text design from BM-311.
Pinky: H&M Miss Stone Heart and framed with silver holographic glequins.



Para esta manicura skittle he utilizado dos placas de estampación diferentes, dos degradados y glequins holográficos plateados.

Índice: H&M Miss Stone Heart degradado con Flormar 400
Medio: H&M Miss Stone Heart estampado con el diseño de corazones de la placa BM-317 usando Easy Paris nº48.
Anular: Flormar 400 degradado con H&M Miss Stone Heart y luego estampado con el diseño de texto de la placa BM-311.
Meñique: H&M Miss Stone Heart enmarcado con glequins holográficos plateados.

Reto Oh Oh Oh! #7 y Winter Holiday Challenge #7: Santa Claus!!

Hi Everyone!!
I'm steal dealing with this annoying cold and awful cough, that keeps me awake every night. I'm so tired that I don't know what I'm going to do tonight to keep me awake while I have our Christmas Eve's dinner with my family... Let me give you a piece of advice: stay away from cold feet and hands...
Santa is not coming to my house tonight because here in Spain the gifts are brought by the Three Magic Wizards, on the night of January 5th, but anyway I am going to wear these tonight, in case he wants to skip Spanish traditions...



Hola a Todos!!
Todavía estoy aquí aguantando este molesto resfriado y esta horrible tos que me mantiene despierta todas las noches. Estoy tan cansada que no se qué voy a hacer esta noche para mantenerme despierta durante la cena de Nochebuena con mi familia... Dejadme que os de un consejo: manteneos alejados de los pies y manos fríos...
Santa no va a venir esta noche a mi casa porque aquí en España los regalos los traen los Tres Reyes Magos, la noche del 5 de Enero, pero de todas fomas voy a llevarlas así pintadas, por si acaso Santa decide saltarse las tradiciones Españolas...

As the base I used Astor Pop Color 147, the perfect Christmas Red with golden shimmer! On my ring finger I drew Santa's Belt with Deliplus 47 and Yes Love Nail Art Silver Glitter. On the other nails I used my new Viva La Nails Christmas Stickers Sample Pack!!



Para la base utilicé Astor Pop Color 147, el Rojo con Shimmer Dorado perfecto para Navidades! En el dedo anular dibujé el cinturón de Santa con Deliplus 47 y Yes Love Nail Art Silver Glitter. En las otras uñas he utilizado mi nuevo Pack de Muestra de Pegatinas de Navidad de Viva La Nails!!

Half a hour after I applied the stickers they started peeling, but I totally blame Seche Vite for that. We all know that Seche Vite's ingredients behave oddly sometimes, and I think this time they melted the glue a little bit... I hope you liked it!!!



Media hora despues de poner las pegatinas, comenzaron a despegarse, pero le hecho la culpa totalmente al Seche Vite. Todos sabemos que los ingredientes del Seche Vite se comportan de forma rara a veces, y creo que esta vez derritieron el pegamento un poco... Espero que os haya gustado!!!

Reto Oh Oh Oh! #5: Muñeco de Nieve

Hi!
I hate doing homework for college... and I decided to take a break and paint my nails! The theme for the Oh Oh Oh! Challenge for today is Snowman. I have already done a manicure with a snowman, here, for the Winter Holiday Challenge, but it was tiny and I wanted to do something bigger, so I did cute snowman faces for my nails.

Odio hacer deberes para la facultad...y he decidido tomarme un descanso y pintarme las uñas! El tema para el Reto Oh Oh Oh! de hoy es Muñeco de Nieve. Ya he hecho una manicura con un muñeco de nieve, aquí, para el Winter Holiday Challenge, pero era muy chiquitín y quería hacer algo más grandecito, así que hice caritas de muñecos de nieve monosas e mis uñas.

I didn't use a colour base for my nails, I just started drawing the silhouettes of the snowmen with Flormar 400 and then I added the details with Acrylic Paints. I decided to make the accent nail just changing the position of the snowman and the colour of the scarf.



No he utilizado ningún color base para las uñas, simplemente comencé dibujando las siluetas de los muñecos de nieve con Flormar 400 y añadí los detalles con Pinturas Acrílicas. Decidí hacer el accent nail cambiando solo la posición del muñeco de nieve y el color de su bufanda.

Aren't they cute? I am planing to wear these for a couple of days because when I look at them they cheer me up! :) See you soon!!



No son monos? Estoy pensando llevarlos durante un par de días porque cada vez que los miro me levantan el ánimo! :) Nos vemos pronto!!

Reto Oh Oh Oh! #4: Nieve!

Oh the weather outside is frightful

but the fire is so delightful

and since we've no place to go

Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

I am sure you guessed today's theme. SNOW! At first I thought about sponging white on my tips like I did with the Snowflakes Manicure, but in the end I finished with something completely different.

Estoy segura de que ya habéis averiguado el tema de hoy. NIEVE! Lo primero que pensé fue hacer un degradado con blanco en las puntas como lo que hice con la Manicura de Copos de Nieve, pero al final teminé haciendo algo completamente diferente.

I started with a two coats of this amazing colour!!! Flormar U08 and then with Flormar 400 and three different sizes of dotting tools I made the "dotting gradient".

Comencé con dos capas de este color tan increíble!! Flormar U08 y luego, con Flormar 400 y tres tamaños diferentes de dotting tools hice el "degradado de puntos".

This looked so neat that I wish I could keep them on, but tomorrow is another day for the Winter Holiday Challenge and I have to paint them again... Sniff If I just wasn't so lazy....

Quedaron tan estupendas que me encantaría poder dejármelas puestas, pero mañana es otro día del Winter Holiday Challenge y me las tengo que pintar otra vez... Snifff Si no fuera tan vaga...

I love the macro shots of these Flormar polishes, Can you see the tiny blue flakies? They add so much dimension to the colour and they switch from blue to purple in different lighting.

Me encantan las fotos macro de estos esmaltes de Flormar. Veis los flakies diminutos? Le dan mucha dimensión al color y cambian de azul a morado dependiendo de la luz.

Bueno, espero que tengais todos unas Blancas Navidades con mucha nieve!! Buenas noches!

Reto Oh Oh Oh! #3 y Winter Holiday Challenge #3: Garlands and lights!

Hi Everyone!!
Today I'm going to cheat and put two challenges together in one manicure, because the themes were so alike that I decided to do one manicure for both (LAZY!) So this is Garlands and Tinsel for the Oh Oh Oh! Challenge and Festival of Lights for the Winter Holiday Challenge.
This is a special design for me because I attempted to reproduce this manicure I found some years ago when I had just started, and because I didn't have any nail art tools or brushes I failed miserably and I never posted it. But I really love it and I had to give it a chance now!

Hoy voy a hacer trampillas y hacer dos días de retos juntos en una única manicura, porque los temas se parecían tanto que decidí hacer una manicura para los dos (VAGA!) Así que esta es para Guirnaldas y Espumillon del Reto Oh Oh Oh! y Festival de Luces del Winter Holiday Challenge.
Este diseño es muy especial para mí porque lo intenté reproducir esta manicura que encontré hace unos años justo cuando acababa de empezar, y como no tenía ningúna herramienta ni pincel de nail art salió desastrosa y nunca la subí al blog. Pero me encanta y tenía que darle una segunda oportunidad!

I started with Catrice Sing Oh Champs Elysees! as the base. I freehanded the french tips with China Glaze Ruby Pumps and Barry M Green Glitter, but you can use french tip guides or tape to help you, just make sure your base is completely dry.
Finally I drew the Christmas lights with Acrylic Paints.



Comencé con una capa de Catrice Sing Oh Champs Elysees! para la base. Yo dibujé a mano la frances con China Glaze Ruby Pumps y Barry M Green Glitter, pero también podeis usar guías de manicura francesa o celo para ayudaros, sólo acordaos de que la base tiene que estar completamente seca.
Para terminar dibujé las luces de Navidad con Pinturas Acrílicas.

Reto Oh Oh Oh! #2: Bastones de Caramelo

Hummm... I am feeling closer to Christmas... Today is holiday in Spain, so I don't have to go to college and I'm spending my free day relaxing, painting my nails and sewing a costume I'm going to wear this Saturday for a Manga Convention here where I live!
Candy Cane is the theme for the Oh Oh Oh! Challenge of today and I thought that a water marble would be perfect, but you all know water marble is not my thing so I cheated ;) and I have done a "Wax Paper" Marble... Do you like the result?

Hummm... Ya me siento más cerca de las Navidades... Hoy es día de fiesta en España, así que no tengo que ir a la universidad y estoy pasando mi dia de descanso relajándome, pintándome las uñas y cosiendo un disfraz que llevaré este Sábado a una Convención Manga que hacen por aquí!
El tema del Reto Oh Oh Oh! de hoy es Bastones de Caramelo y pensé que un Water Marble quedaría perfecto, pero ya sabeis que los Water Marble no son lo mío, así que e hecho trampas ;) y he hecho un "Papel de Horno" Marble... Os gusta el resultado?

I made the Water Marble on top of wax paper instead of doing it with water, I just painted one coat of Wynie 302 on the wax paper and before it was dry I painted a thin line in white(Flormar 400). Finally I dragged the red across the white line alternating directions, just like the picture shows. For the accent nail I just changed the colours.
I liked the result but I thought it was a bit plain, so I added the silver dots with a dotting tool.



He hecho el Water Marble encima del papel de horno en vez de hacerlo con agua, simplemente pinté una capa de Wynie 302 en el papel de horno y antes de que se secara pinté una linea fina en blanco (Flormar 400). Paa terminar arrastré el rojo sobre la línea blanca alternando las direcciones, como se ve en la siguiente imagen. Para el accent nail simplemente cambié los colores.
Me gustaba el resultado pero me pareció que quedaba un poco soso, así que le añadí los puntos plateados con un dotting tool.

When you have done the design on the wax paper you have to let it dry completely, peel it glue the piece you want to your nails with top coat and remove the excess with acetone and a brush or a cotton ball.
I tried some designs before I decided to use this one, that's the fun part about this technique, you can play mixing the colours and doing swirls and finally choose the piece you like more for your nails.



Cuando ya habeis hecho el diseño en el papel de horno hay que dejarlo secar completamente, despegar la parte que quieres ponerte en las uñas, pegarla con topcoat y quitar lo que sobra con acetona y un pincel o un bastoncillo de algodón.
Probé con varios diseños antes de decidirme por este, esa es la parte divertida de esta técnica, podeis jugar mezclando los colores y haciendo dibujos y al final escoger la zona que más te guste para tus uñas.

Reto Oh Oh Oh! #1: Estrella de Oriente

Hi girls!!
Today is the first day of one of the Christmas challenges that I have joined this Christmas. The Oh Oh Oh Challenge has been created by one of my BBF (Blogger Best Friends) Xiito from Mis Potingadas y Más.
The first theme of this amazing Christmas Challenge is The Eastern Star. I wanted to make something simple because that's what comes to my mind when I think about the Eastern Star, it was just one more star in the sky, but the meaning is what is important about it...

Hoy es el primer día de uno de los Retos de Navidad a los que me he unido en estas Navidades. El Reto Oh Oh Oh lo ha creado una de mis BBF (Blogger Best Friends), Xiito de Mis Potingadas y Más.
El primer tema de este Reto de Navidad tan increíble es La Estrella de Oriente. Quería realizar algo sencillo porque eso es lo que me viene a la mente cuando pienso en la Estrella de Oriente, era sólo una estrella más en el cielo, pero lo importante era su significado...

I started this manicure with one coat of Deliplus 58, a black creme polish, and I sprayed white acrylic paint with a stiff brush to make the stars, just like what I did with the Galaxy Nails. For the accent nail on the Ring Finger I drew a The Eastern Star with Barry M Gold Foil. And I mattified everything with Essence Soft Touch Matte Topcoat.



Comencé con una capa de Deliplus 58, un esmalte negro cremoso, y frotando un pincel duro con pintura acrílica blanca hice las estrellas, igual que con las Galaxy Nails. Para el accent nail en el dedo Anular dibujé la Estrella de Oriente con Barry M Gold Foil. Y lo matifiqué todo con Essence Soft Touch Matte Topcoat.

This manicure ended being very elegant to wear these holidays and I think it really shows what I feel about the Eastern Star. I'm sorry if the shape of my nails looks a bit weird, but I took the picture just right after I made the dishes and I didn't notice the tips were flattened because of the water... Stupid Telltale Macro!!



La manicura quedó muy elegante para estas fechas y creo que muestra realmente lo que siento sobre la Estrella de Oriente. Lo siento si la forma de mis uñas se ve un poco extraña, pero hice la foto justo despues de lavar los platos y no me di cuenta de que las puntas estaban aplanadas por culpa del agua... Estúpido Macro Chivato!!
