Disney Challenge Day 16: Mary Poppins

With a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down...

 I loved all the songs in this movie, when I was little I used to like more the movies that had songs that I liked to sing. :3
Mary Poppins is a 1964 musical film starring two of my most favourite actors ever, Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dike, produced by Walt Disney and based on the Mary Poppins book series by P.L. Travers. There is also a musical based on the same books.
I wanted to do something simple and quick because I am painting my room, so I don't have a lot of time to spent on my nails. I hope you like it.

Con un poco de azúcar esa píldora que os dan, esa píldora que os dan pasará mejor...

 Me encantaban todas las canciones de esta película, cuando era pequeña me solían gustar más las películas con canciones que me gustaban cantar. :3
Mary Poppins es una película musical de 1964 en la que aparecen dos de mis actores preferidos, Julie Andrews y Dick Van Dike, producida por Walt Disney y basada en la serie de libros de Mary Poppins de P.L. Travers. También hay un musical basado en los mismos libros.
Quería hacer algo rápido y simple porque estoy pintando mi habitación y no tengo mucho tiempo para pintarme las uñas. Espero que os guste.


There she is! Mary Poppins flying through all the roofs and chimeneys of London, with his umbrella. It's not very visible but I made a gradient in the background, from white on the tips to baby blue. I think you can see it better on my ring finger.

¡Ahí la teneis! Mary Poppins volando a través de los tejados y chimeneas de Londres, con su paraguas. No se ve demasiado pero he hecho un degradado en el fondo, de blanco en las puntas hasta celeste. Creo que donde mejor se ve es en el dedo anular.


I'm sorry I forgot to clean that black blob on my ring finger, I didn't notice it until I was editing the pictures.
To make this manicure I used my new Yes Love Pastel Blue polish and made a gradient with Nagelim White. Yes Love Pastel Blue is really creamy and shiny, If I hadn't painted with acrylics on top I wouldn't have needed a topcoat.

Siento haber olvidado limpiar ese punto negro de mi dedo anular, no me di cuenta hasta que estaba editando las fotos. Para hacer esta manicura he usado mi esmalte Yes Love Pastel Blue nuevo e hice un degradado con el Nagelim White. Yes Love Pastel Blue es muy cremoso y brillante, si no hubiera dibujado encima con los acrílicos no hubiera necesitado topcoat.

Disney Challenge Day 15: Merlín

Hi Girls!
Today I have a quick post because I'm really busy again tyding my room... This movie is really funny and that's why I love it. The wolf trying to hunt Arturo make me cry of laughther and so when Merlin was chased by the fat squirrel because she wanted to... date? with him... hahaha
This is my atempt os Merlins face and the scene when he is packing all his books, I hope you can see it ;)

Hola Chicas!
Hoy os traigo un post muy rápido porque vuelvo a estar muy ocupada reordenando mi cuarto... Esta película es muy graciosa, y por eso me encanta. El lobo intentando cazar a Arturo me hace llorar de risa, y tambien cuando Merlín era perseguido por la ardilla gorda porque quería... salir? con el... jajaja
Este es mi intento de hacer la cara de Merlín y el momento en el que está embalando sus libros, espero que lo podais ver ;)


I used acrylic paints as always and my new BarryM Denim, I love this polish, I don't know how to describe it.  It's really opaque just with one coat, it's a dark blue with kind of silver shimmer, and it dries semi matte. You can see it alone here.

He usado pinturas acrílicas como siempre y mi BarryM Denim nuevo, me encanta este esmalte... no sé cómo describirlo. Es muy opaco con sólo una capa, es un azul oscuro con algo parecido a shimmer plateado, y seca semi mate. Aquí lo podeis ver solo.


It's pretty isn'tn it? I have said before that I thought this polish would be good for acid wash, but it's not... I tried and when you use the acetone the shimmer comes out and turns the polish into a silver colour with hints of blue... But It's really good for stamping though.

Es bonito verdad? Ya dije que pensaba que este esmalte iba a ser genial para el acid was, bueno pues no lo es... Lo he intentado y cuando le pasas la acetona el shimmer sale y se queda con un color plateado con tonos de azul... Pero es genial para estampar.

Swap con Ana de Esta Cerrada la Droguería

Hi everyone!
Today I bring you something different, my first swap! I made it with Ana from Esta Cerrada la Droguería. If you don't know her just go and have a look, he is a talented nail artist but more that that she is A-MA-ZING with FIMO.
She lives in Spain like me, so the mail went really fast! We sent our packages on Thursday and we received them the next day. How quick is that!

¡Hola a todos!
Hoy os traigo algo un poco diferente, ¡mi primer swap! Lo he hecho con Ana de Esta Cerrada la Droguería. Si no la conoceis id a daros una vuelta por su blog, es una esmaltofílica muy buena y más que eso es IN-CRE-Í-BLE haciendo cosas con FIMO.
Vive en España, como yo, así que el correo fue muy rápido, mandamos nuestros paquetes el jueves y el viernes ya estaban en nuestras manos. ¿A que es rapido?


Haha! Yay!! NailWish has Nail Mail!! How exciting!! She packed everything so well I had to use scissors. And look all that stuff! Neon colors! Stickers Everywhere! I Love It!

Jajaja! Wii!! Nail Wish tiene Nail Mail! Que emocionante!! Ana lo envolvió todo tan bien que tuve que usar tijeras. Y mirad que de cosas! Colores neón! Pegatinas por todos lados!! Me encanta!!

Esto es todo lo que había una vez desenvuelto, ¡hay un montón de cosas! pero vamos a verlo un poco más de cerca...


Some fimo fruits, and white, black and star glitters. Two samples, one of BB cream (That I will be wearing tonight) and another one of Eau de Parfum Very Irrésistible Givenchi L'intense. One Orange felt brooch and one crochet flower brooch.

Algunas frutitas de fimo, glitter blanco, negro y en forma de estrella. Dos muestras, una de BB cream (Que usaré esta noche) y otra de Colonia L'intense de Givenchi. También un broche de una naranja de fieltro y otro  una flor de crochet.


I told you she was good with FIMO! OMG I love the Cookie Monster earrings and necklace, and I'm already usin the OPI phone hanger (So cute!). And don't you like the Totoro ring? My friend is going to freak out when she sees it!

Ya os dije que era buena con el FIMO! OMG! Me encantan los pendientes y el colgante del Monstruo de las Galletas y ya estoy usando el colgador de móvil de OPI (Es monisimo!) Y no os encanta el anillo de Totoro? Mi amiga se va a volver loca cuando lo vea!


This polish I'm going to love them! I haven't seen this shades before but they are amazing Yes Love Chromes! The first two are a Dark Pink and Blue Chromes and the third is a dark purple with little tiny golden flakies, sooo pretty!! Ana told me they are really good for stamping so I'm going to love them more and more...

Me van a encantar estos esmaltes! No habia visto estos tonos nunca pero son unos Chromes de Yes Love increíbles! Los dos primeros son unos cromes Rosa oscuro y Azul, y el tercero es un Morado oscuro con escamitas super pequeñas doradas, precioso! Ana me ha dicho que son muy buenos para estampar, así que me van a ir gustando más y más...


The first one is what I truly believe is going to be another dupe for Chanel Peridot. Is a little 3ml bottle of Bourjois Fashion Show a New York nº 87. The other ones are my very first Catrice Polishes; Sing: O, Champs-Elysees, a nude pink with a little bit of shimmer. And Catrice Dirty Berry, a light purple with holo particles.

El primero es un esmalte que realmente creo que va a ser un dupe para el Peridot de Chanel. Es una botella pequeñita de 3ml de Bourjois Fashion Show a New York nº 87. Los otros son mis primeros esmaltes de Catrice; Sing: O, Champs-Elysees, un rosa nude con un poco de shimmer. Y Catrice Dirty Berry, un morado claro con partículas holo.


And finally... Barry M polishes!! From left to right: Gold Foil, Denim and Green Glitter. I haven't tried them yet but those are my favourites because I told Ana I needed a golden polish for stamping (Golden Foil is amazing for stamping) and that the only glitter colour that I haven´t found was green glitter, and she has sent me this amazing and very well packed glitter (I love you Ana). And I am guessing that Denim is going to be an amazing polish to make acid wash that is a technique that I want to try really soon.
So, this is it! A lot of new polish to swatch, and lots of amazing stuff!! I will swap again as soon as I can because this experience has been amazing. I hope Ana is liking what I sent to her and if you want to see it just click here.

Y finalmente... ¡Esmaltes de Barry M! De izquierda a derecha: Gold Foil, Denim and Green Glitter. No los he probado todavía pero estos son mis favoritos porque le dije a ana que necesitaba un esmalte dorado para estampar (Golden Foil es estupendo para estampar) y que el único color de glitter que no había encontrado era el verde, y ella me ha enviado este increíble glitter (Te quiero Ana). Y creo que Denim va a ser un esmalte muy bueno para hacer acid wash, que es una técnica que quiero probar muy pronto.
Bueno, pues esto ha sido todo! Un montón de esmaltes que swachear y muchas cosas super chulas. Voy a volver a hacer algún swap en cuanto pueda porque esta esperiencia me ha encantado. Espero que Ana esté disfrutando de lo que yo le he mandado y si quereis ver lo que es solo teneis que pichar aqui.

Disney Challenge Day 14: 101 Dálmatas

Hi girls!
Today I had a bad manicure day. I don't really like this movie and because of that I had no inspiration or skills today... I tried to draw some dalmatian puppies but I totally failed, so I went with something really simple.

¡Hola chicas!
Hoy he tenido un mal día para las manicuras. No me gusta mucho esta película y por ello hoy no he tenido ni inspiracion ni habilidad... He intentado dibujar algunos de los cachorrillos de dálmata pero he fallado estrepitosamente, así que he ido a por algo realmente simple.


Also my black and white nail polish are really goopy (I have to replace them!!) and I had to do this manicure just with acrylics.
If I had to chose one scene of the movie I would say the one with all the different dogs and their weird owners. Hahaha!

También he tenido problemas porque mis esmaltes blanco y negro están muy espesos (¡¡Tengo que cambiarlos!!) y he tenido que hacer la manicura sólo con los acrílicos.
Si tuviera que escoger una escena de la película diría en la que aparecen todos los perros diferentes con sus respectivos dueños raritos. ¡Jajaja!

Disney Challenge Day 13: La Bella Durmiente

Hi Girls!
Today is the day of the Sleeping Beauty manicure. I liked this movie when I was little but it wasn't one of my favourites because I didn't find it interesting enough. One of the most exiting moments of the movie was when the prince fight with Malefica that has turned herself into a black dragon.

¡Hola Chicas!
Hoy es el día de manicura de La Bella Durmiente. Esta película me gustaba cuando era  pequeña, pero no era una de mis favoritas porque no me parecía especialmente interesante. Uno de los momentos más emocionantes de la peli era cuando el príncipe lucha contra Maléfica que se ha transformado en un dragón negro.


This is the first time I draw on my fingers too, outside my nails, but I needed more space, as simple as that hahaha! and I thought drawing the whole dragon was important, it gives it another dimension. On my finger you can see The Sleeping Beauty, I'm not really proud of her (You know I always have to find a mistake...) because she looks like a doll to me, but it's ok.

I used Bourjois nº39 Jaune Trendy as the base, added the drawings with acrylics and then sealed the work with Deliplus Fast Dry Topcoat.

Esta es la primera vez que dibujo también en mis dedos, por fuera de las uñas, pero necesitaba más espacio, tas simple como eso ¡Jajajaja! y pensé que dibujar el dragón completo era importante, le da una dimensión diferente. En mi dedo índice podeis ver a La Bella Durmiente, no estoy especialmente orgullosa de cómo ha quedado (Ya sabéis que siempre tengo que encontrar algún error...) porque me parece que ha quedado con aspecto de muñeca, pero está bien.

He usado Bourjois nº39 Jaune Trendy para la base, añadí los dibujos con acrílicos y sellé el trabajo en el topcoat de secado rápido de Deliplus.

Disney Challenge Day 12: La Dama y el Vagabundo

Hi Girls!
A I promised here it is, one day late, the next manicure from the Disney Challenge. Today the movie is The Lady and the Tramp. I liked this movie a lot because all the characters were animals! I loved how all the different dogs had different personalities.

¡Hola Chicas!
Como prometí aquí está, un dia tarde, la siguiente manicura del Reto Disney. Hoy la película es La Dama y el Vagabundo. Me gustaba mucho esta película porque ¡todos los personajes eran animales! Me encantaba especialmente que todos los perros de diferentes razas tuvieran cada uno una personalidad diferente.


It's not humble if I say it but I am really proud of this manicure, I love how it turned out, especially Lady. The background colour is my very first Flormar Miracle Colors and I have to say I love it! The duochrome effect is not showing in the pictures but it has a very strong purple shine.

I used:
Base: Flormar Miracle Colors U08
Drawings: Acrylic Paints
Topcoat: Quick Drying Deliplus

No es muy humilde si yo lo digo pero estoy muy orgullosa de esta manicura, me encanta como ha salido, especialmente Dama. El color de fondo es mi primer Flormar Miracle Colors y tengo que decir que ¡me encanta! El efecto duocromo no sale en las fotos pero tiene un brillo morado muy fuerte.

He usado:
Base: Flormar Miracle Colors U08
Dibujos: Pintura Acrílica
Topcoat: Brillo Secante Deliplus


My Seche Vite has died so, until I buy another one I will have to use this topcoat. It's fine If you only want shine, but it's very thin and it's useless when it comes to smooth glitters...

Mi Seche Vite ha muerto asi que, hasta que me compre otro, tendré que utilizar este topcoat. Está bien si solo quieres brillo, pero es demasiado fino y es inútil a la hora de suavizar glitters...

KIKO Lavish Oriental Collection 400 Steel Grey

Hi everyone!
Finally I have finished anwering all you comments... I'm sorry I lasted so much this time, but I've been really busy and I didn't notice there were so many comments to answer.

This is the second holographic nail polish from the Kiko Lavish Oriental Collection. A charcoal grey linear holo that is opaque in two coats. You can find the first one (399 Silk Taupe) HERE.

Por fin he terminado de responder a todos vuestros comentarios... Siento haber tardado tanto tiempo esta vez, pero he estado realmente ocupada y no me di cuenta de que había tantos comentarios que responder.

Este es el segundo pintauñas holográfico de la Colección Lavish Oriental de Kiko. Un holográfico lineal de color gris carboncillo que queda opaco en dos capas. Podeis encontrar el primero (399 Silk Taupe) AQUÏ.


As you can see the holographic effect is stronger than the nº 399 Silk Taupe effect, and this nail polish has better coberture. If you like one coaters better, you can achieve full opacity with just one thick coat. Application is absolutely perfect, no patches or holes without aqua base.

Como podeis ver el efecto holográfico es más fuerte que el del nº 399 Silk Taupe, y este pintauñas tiene una mejor cobertura. Si os gustan más los que se aplican con solo una capa podeis conseguirlo aplicando una capa más gruesa. La aplicación es absolutamente perfecta, no se crean parches o agujeros si lo usamos sin aqua base.


I like this colour more than 399 Silk Taupe, I don't know why, I think this colour looks better with my skintone.

Este color me gusta más que el 399 Silk Taupe, no sé por qué, creo que este color va mejor con el tono de mi piel.


To make this manicure a little bit more interesting I framed the ring finger with silver hex glitter. As you can see the holo is so strong you can see it even with a topcoat.

Para hacer esta manicura un poco más interesante he enmarcado en dedo corazón con glitters plateados hexagonales. Como podeis ver el holo es tan fuerte que se puede ver incluso con un topcoat.


I liked how the framed looked but I think this technique doesn't look very well on my ring finger because my nail is really curved and you can't really see the hole frame.

Me gustó como quedaba el enmarcado pero creo que esta tecnica no va muy bien con mi dedo corazón porque mi uña es demasiado curva y no se llega a ver el marco completo.


I hope you like hex glitter designs because I am going to make one for each swatch of the Kiko Lavish Oriental Collection. And remember! This is Limited Edition!!

Disney Challenge Day 11: 20.000 Leguas de Viaje Submarino

Oh my God! My bedroom is empty!!! I have to go paint it so this is going to be a super-short post. I copied this manicure from a picture I found on Pinterest. I give the credit to it's owner, but I've never seen this movie, I didn't have time and I ran out of inspiration.

¡Oh Dios Mío! ¡Mi cuarto está totalmente vacío! Tengo que ir a pintarlo, así que esta entrada ve a ser súper-rápida. He copiado esta manicura de una foto que encontré en Pinterest. Todo el crédito es para su creadora, pero es que nunca he visto esta peli, no tenía tiempo para nada y además me había quedado sin inspiración.


I hope you liked it. I used Kiko nº 401 for the base and acrylic paints for the octopus.

KIKO Lavish Oriental Collection 399 Silk Taupe

The other day I was talking with other bloggers in Facebook when Silvia from Toxic Vanity told us that Kiko has released a new Limited Edition Collection of Linear Holos for the incredible price of 4,90€. I immediately went to my closest Kiko Store in Seville and bought the four of them, shame on me...
I'm going to show them to you one by one because the are amazing and deserve one post each.
As you may know Kiko doesn't have names for their polishes, just numbers, but I found on the internet that the name of this polish is nº 399 Silk Taupe.

El otro día estaba charlando con otras bloggeras por facebook cuando Silvia de Toxic Vanity nos dijo que Kiko había sacado una nueva Colección de Edición Limitada de Hologáficos Lineares por el increíble precio de 4,90€. Inmediatamente fui a la tienda de Kiko que me quedaba más cerca aquí en Sevilla y me compré los cuatro de un tirón... qué verguenza de falta de autocontrol.
Como quizás sepais Kiko no pone nombres a sus pintauñas, solo números, pero he encontrado en internet que el nombre de este pintauñas es nº 399 Silk Taupe.


Isn't it pretty? The colour is a warm toned beige with a very strong holographic effect. The aplication is heaven! You don't need an aqua base for this and if you let your first coat dry completely you can add the second without any patches or holes. It's fully opaque in two coats.

¿No es bonito? El color es un beige cálido con efecto holográfico bastante fuerte. ¡La aplicación es increíble! No se necesita de aqua base para usarlo y si dejas secar la primera capa completamente se puede añadir la segunda sin que salgan parches o agujero. Es completamente opaco en dos capas.


I wanted to make a manicure with it but I didn't want to add too much to this glorious colour so I jus added some hex holographic glitter that I bought the other day at a Euro Store.

Quería hacer una manicura aprovechando este color tan increíble, pero no quería taparlo demasiado, así que simplemente añadí unos glitters holográficos hexagonales que compré el otro día en una tienda de todo a un Euro.


It's a manicure that I would wear anytime. The holo is less strong here because of the topcoat, it seems that the topcoat that goes better with this holos is the Deliplus Fast Dry Top Coat, it make it more subtle but still very noticeable.

Es una manicura que llevaría en cualquier momento. El holo es menos fuerte aquí por culpa del topcoat, parece que el topcoat que va mejor con estos holos es el Topcoat de secado rápido de Deliplus, lo hace más débil pero aún se nota mucho en el sol.

5. If you could pick one nail design that you can't do right now and them magically master it, which one would that be? Water marble! Any kind of water marble.
6. Longest you spent on a single design/mani? Two or three hours... I think.
7. Since when are you into "nail art/blogging"? OMG! I've been around here for two years!
8. Fav. book/movie? My favourite book is The Last Cato (Matilde Asensi) and my favourite movie... I don't know, maybe Robin Hood or Nightmare Before Christmas.
9. How often do you paint your nails? Once every two days when I'm doing a challenge or once or twice a week if I'm not.
10. Does your family or friends encourage you or laugh at your nail passion? My family find it weird and a waste of time and money but they support me showing interest.
11. What do you love most about nail bloggers community? I think it's a great way to know other nail polish addicted, get inspiration and know a lot of amazing nail artists.
12.  What was your first reaction to getting this award? I was really happy!! It's a beautiful surprise to come back from holidays and find that you have an award waiting for you.
13.  If you could eat any meal, what would you eat? I don't know... sushi maybe?
14.  How do you like to celebrate your birthday? Having a homemade dinner with my closests friends.

23. Favourite colour nail polish? Blues and greens, I'm sorry I can't choose between those two colors.
24. Your First Memory? Going to the market with my grandmother.
25. Have you ever had any nail polish disasters? Once I was travelling and a bottle exploded inside my suitcase... Everything went to the trash bin...
26. When you were younger what did you want to be when you grew up? A vet or something animal-related.
27. What do you now want to be when you grow up? A teacher!!
28. Has anything ever happened to you that you never thought it would? Yes, I never thought I was going to be happy with the four things that were most important to me, family, studies, love and friends, but I am!!
29. Do you ever have recurring dreams? Not usually but when I'm on exams I often dream that I pass/fail my exams.
30. Do you have any fears? if so what are they? I am scared of heights and darkness.
31. What's the best thing that has happened to you this year? This year has been full of amazing things: I lived a month and a half in Boston, I went to Riviera Maya with my best friends and I graduated college!!

Disney Challenge Day 10: Peter Pan

I'm back again!
Italia was wonderful but I missed you! It's super exciting when you come back from holidays and you find that you have been nominated for an Award! But we will talk about it tomorrow, because today is Peter Pan's Day! I've skipped four Disney Challenge manicures before the Peter Pan's, but what  I'm going to do is to post this one today and post the others on the days in between, Ok?

¡Ya estoy de vuelta otra vez!
¡Italia ha sido maravilloso pero os he echado de menos! Es muy emocionante cuando llegas de vuelta de tus vacaciones y te encuentras que ¡te han nominado para un premio! Pero hablaremos de eso mañana, porque hoy es el ¡día de Peter Pan!
Me he saltado cuatro manicuras del reto de Disney anteriores a la de Peter Pan, pero lo que voy a hacer es subir esta hoy y las demás las subiré los días en los que no toque reto ¿ok?


I have to admit that this is not one of my best efforts, but today I've been doing manicures all day and I was really tired and with no inspiration at all. After doing a monkey-looking Cinderella I decided today was not the best day to draw faces so I just drew half of Tinkerbell's face, and I'm not really proud of it, I think it looks a little bit like an alien haha. But what I really love is how the other nails look. They are also Tinkerbell but viewed from afar, and they turned very sparkling and pretty.

Drawings: Acrylic Paints and Easy Paris Golden Glitter
TopCoat: Seche Vite

Tengo que admitir que este no es uno de mis mejores trabajos, pero hoy he estado haciendo manicuras todo el día y estaba muy cansada y sin ninguna inspiración. Despues de hacer una Cenicienta que se parecía más a un mono decidí que no era el día para dibujar caras, así que solo dibujé la mitad de la de Campanilla, y no estoy muy orgullosa de ella, creo que parece un poco un alien haha. Pero lo que sí que me gusta es cómo han quedado las otras uñas. Son Campanilla también, pero vistas desde lejos, y quedaron muy brillantes y bonitas.

TopCoat: Seche Vite
