Christmas is getting nearer and this challenge is also moving forward and I am liking every day of it! Today I have made a skittle manicure (all nails different but forming a cohesive whole) with my favourite Holiday Colours, white, green, red, golden, silver and black, did I miss any? haha

La Navidad se va acercando y este reto tambien va cogiendo carrerilla y me están gustando cada uno de los días! Hoy he hecho una manicura skittle (todas las uñas diferentes formando un unico conjunto) con mis Colores de Fiesta favoritos, blanco, verde, rojo, dorado, plateado y negro, se me olvida alguno? jaja

The perfect holiday manicure! On my Index Finger I have used a base of China Glaze Holly Day and then topped it with Yes Love Snow Flack 17. The Middle and Ring Fingers have Flormar 310 as the base, but the first one has stripes made with Wynie 302 and BPS Striping Tape; and the second one has different sized dots made with China Glaze Passion. Last, but not least, we have Kiko Starry Black one of the polishes from the Sugar Matt Collection that is an exact dupe for Zoya Pixie Dust Dahlia.

Es la manicura de Navidad perfecta! En mi dedo Índice he utilizado como base China Glaze Holly Day y encima Yes Love Snow Flack 17. Los dedos Corazón y Anular llevan Flormar 310 de base, pero el primero tiene líneas con Wynie 302 y Stipping Tape de BPS; y el segundo puntos de diferentes tamaños hechos con China Glaze Passion. Por último, tenemos Kiko Starry Black, uno de los esmaltes de la Colección Sugar Matt que es un clon exacto de Zoya Pixie Dust Dahlia.

I think my favourite nail is the index, I really like that Yes Love topper and pairing it with Holly Day was a terrific combination! Also I have seen so many times textured polishes used for accent nails and I have never tried it until now, and I think I like it, although texture is not what I really like to feel on my nails...

Creo que mi uña favorita es la ïndice, me encanta ese topper de Yes Love y juntarlo con Holly Day hizo una combinación genial! Además he visto tantas veces los esmaltes con textura como accent nails y nunca lo había intentado hasta ahora, creo que me gusta, aun sabiendo que textura no es lo que más me gusta sentir en las uñas...

Overall I am very happy with how this manicure turned out. What do you think?

Seven Deadly Sins Challenge Day 9 and 10: Wrath

As I told you yesterday I have been really busy this week and also I started painting my nails for all the challenges I am participating really late, so I'm afraid I have to skip one of the Wrath manicures and make just the first prompt... "Get mad trying, again, that technique you know it's going to be a fail"

Como ya os conté ayer he estado muy ocupada esta semana y también comencé a pintarme las uñas para los retos en los que estoy participando muy tarde, así que me parece que tendré que saltarme una de las manicuras de Ira y hacer sólo las primeras instrucciones... "Enfádate intentando, de nuevo, esa técnica que sabes que va a ser un desastre"

I decided to do a splatter manicure because I knew that a water marble was going to be too much fail for me (I'm not good at facing failure...) The first time I did a splatter was a long time ago, you can see it here. I made it with the straw technique and it was a pain in the ass to do the clean up... This time I was not going to walk through hell again, so I used tape around my fingers and used a toothbrush instead of the straw... result? much less waste of polish, but a more dense splatter look...



Decidí hacer una manicura Splatter perque sabía que un water marble iba a ser demasiado fail para mi (No soy buena afrontando fracasos...) La primera vez que hice un splatter fue hace mucho tiempo, lo podeis ver aquí. Lo hice con la técnica de la pajita y fue una locura para limpiarlo todo... Esta vez no iba a pasar por ese infierno de nuevo, así que utilicé un cepillo de dientes en vez de la pajita y puse celo en mis dedos para protegerlos... resultado? mucho menos gasto de esmalte, pero un look más denso de salpicaduras...

I know lately I am using a lot of China Glaze polishes, but I recently got a bunch of them for a very good price... This is a base of China Glaze Branding Iron, a deep shimmery rusty red (OMG it's stunning!!), and the splatter is made with three polishes of the Romantique Collection, China Glaze Harmony, China Glaze Joy and China Glaze Passion... but all you can see is the golden one (Passion) and it's not because of the picture...



Ya sé que últmamente he estado utilizando muchos esmaltes de China Glaze, pero conseguí hace poco un montón por muy buen precio... Aqui tenemos una base de China Glaze Branding Iron, un rojo avejentado brillante (OMG es precioso!), y el splatter está hecho con tres esmaltes de la colección Romantique, China Glaze Harmony, China Glaze Joy y China Glaze Passion... pero el único que podeis ver es el dorado (Passion) y no es culpa de la foto...

Anyway I liked the overall look because I just can't not like a manicure with that stunning base colour... And I also think that this technique really shows up the anger and Wrath that I was looking for this look.

De todas formas me gusta el look general porque simplemente no puede no gustarme una manicura con ese color base tan bonito... Y también creo que esta técnica refleja muy bien el enfado y la Ira que estaba buscando para este look.

Round Golden Studs from Born Pretty

I have totally abandoned this for almost a whole month! Well, it seems that I'm now back on my feet again and I won't leave for long...
I've had those studs for a long time and I was dying to try them but I was just out of inspiration and wanted to do something really special and elegant, that's why I chose this colour combination and the use of stripes.

He abandonado esto totalmente durante casi un mes entero!! Bueno, parece que ya me he recuperado del todo y que no me ire en mucho tiempo...
He tenido estos studs desde hace un tiempo y estaba deseando probarlos, pero no tenía inspiración ninguna y quería hacer algo realmente especial y elegante, por eso finalmente he escogido esta combinación de colores y el uso de las líneas.

First of all I have to say that this manicure has been a pain in the ass to photograph, I don't know how but the white was so bright next to the blue that burned every picture I took... These were the best pictures I could take and I have to tell you that they don't do justice to the manicure...



Lo primero que tengo que deciros es que esta manicura ha sido un auténtico coñazo de fotografiar, no sé cómo pero el blanco era tan luminoso junto al azul que quemaba cada foto que hice... Estas fueon las mejores imágenes que conseguí sacar y os aseguro que no le hacen justicia ninguna...

These golden studs were given to me by Born Pretty Store for review and I have to say that I love them! They are 1.5 mm and they stick really well to the nail. They have a flat rubber back that makes really easy to pick and place them. To make this manicure I only used clear polish to glue the studs and they lasted without problem for a week.



Estos studs dorados me los envió Born Pretty Store para que los probara y tengo que deir que me encantan! Son de 1.5 mm y se pegan muy bien a las uñas. Tienen una parte de atrás de goma plana que hace que sea muy facil cogerlos y colocarlos. Para hacer esta manicura sólo he usado esmalte transparente para pegarlos y duraron una semana sin problemas.

I used Barry M Denim, Barry M Golden Foil (I love this brand) and Flormar 400. I freehanded the stripes with a thin nail art brush, but if you think this is too difficult you can make it with tape. Then I applied a topcoat, placed the studs and finished with Seche Vite on top.



He utilizado Barry M Denim, Barry M Gold Foil (Me encanta esta marca) y Flormar 400. Yo he hecho las líneas a mano con un pincel de nail art fino, pero si creeis que es demasiado complicado lo podeis hacer con celo. Luego he aplicado una capa de topcoat, colocado los studs y terminado con Seche Vite.

I don't have any problems with my top coat washing out the golden from the studs, but I have heard that some topcoats can do this, so be careful with it. As you can see the amount of studs is Amazing! I think I'm going to have studs for my whole life... the only thing I could say that I don't like about them is that a lot of them are stick to each other and are a little bit difficult to remove.



Yo no he tenido ningún problema con el top coat llevándose el dorado de los studs, pero si que he escuchado que algunos topcoats pueden hacerlo, así que tened cuidado con esto. Como podeis ver la cantidad de stud que vienen es Increíble! Creo que voy a tener studs para toda mi vida... lo único que puedo decir que no me gusta de ellos es que muchos vienen pegados entre sí y son un poco difíciles de despegar.

Valentine NAC #1: Pink or Red

Lo primero que os quería decir es que estoy participando en el Concurso de Drama Queen Nails com mi manicura de los Rhinestones de Born Pretty. And now I want to introduce you to the Valentines NAC (Nail Art Challenge). I just have joined and today the theme is Red or Pink. I am a very indecisive person but this time I knew I was going to go with Pink, but the problem was... What should I do? and inspiration was gone... So, after lots of trial and error, I ended up doing two different manicures, just like the last time...



Y ahora os presento al Valentines NAC (Nail Art Challenge). Acaba de empezar y el tema de hoy es Rojo o Rosa. Soy una persona muy indecisa, pero esta vez tenía claro que iba a ir a por el Rosa, pero el problema era... Qué hago con él? y la inspiracion estaba de vacaciones... Así que tras muchos intentos acabé con dos manicuras diferentes, justo como la otra vez...

Let's go this time with the strongest first. I used one coat of Yes Love Pastel Pink and topped it with one coat of the Duochrome Topper Sinful Colors Let Me Go. Finally I cut some zigzag stripes of tape painted them with Fuchsia Glitter and used them as stickers.



Vamos a empezar con la más fuerte esta vez. Primero apliqué una capa de Yes Love Pastel Pink y lo cubrí con el Topcoat Duochrome Sinful Colors Let Me Go. Para terminar corté tiras de celo en zigzag, las cubrí con Glitter Fucsia y las usé como pegatinas.

I don't know why but this manicure reminds me of Girls Power!! Also... can you see the hint of blue and green that Let Me Go gives to the Pink colour? I love it!!
The next manicure is the opposite, it makes me feel calm and looks so romantic... Perfect for Valentine's Day...



No se por qué pero esta manicura me recuerda al Girls Power!! Además... ¿podéis ver el ligero reflejo azul y verde que le da al rosa el Let Me Go? Me encanta!!
La siguiente manicura el todo lo contrario, me hace sentir en calma y es tan romántica... Perfecta para el día de San Valentín.

I knew this year I would be wearing the new Bundle Monster Plates a lot for Valentine's Day, they have so many great designs! This is from BM-323, and how delicate are these roses? So pretty! I used Flormar 400 as the base and stamped with Yes Love N04 a metallic pink that stamps like heaven (Thank You Ana from Está Cerrada La Droguería)



Sabía que este año llevaría mucho las nuevas Placas Bundle Monster por San Valentín, tienen tantos diseños geniales! Este es de la placa BM-323, y ¿veis que delicadas son las rosas? Preciosas! He utilizado Flormar 400 para la base y he estampado con Yes Love N04, un rosa metálico que estampa de maravilla (Gracias Ana de Está Cerrada La Droguería)

Winter Holiday Challenge #5: Christmas Decoration

Today you are going to forgive me because of the less wordy blog post, but I'm having a cold and I don't feel very well... All I want to do is rest, sleep and watch TV, but I can't because I have lots of manicures to do, homework, college...
I did this manicure when I was still feeling well, so I loved it, but now I don't feel so happy about it...

Hoy me vais a perdonar por el post cortito, pero estoy pasando un resfriado y no me siento muy bien... Todo lo que me apetece hacer es descansar, dormir y ver la tele, pero no puedo porque tengo un montón de manicuras que hacer, deberes, ir a la facultad...
Hice esta manicura cuando todavía me encontraba bien, y me encantó, pero ahora ya no estoy tan segura...

I tried to combine the Half Moon Manicure with drawing a Mistletoe Wreath. I first used just one coat of Barry M Gold Foil, and then drew the Christmas Wreath with China Glaze Holly Day and then the red berries with Winye 302.



He intentado combinar una Half Moon Manicure con el dibujo de una Corona de Muérdago. Primero utilicé una sola capa de Barry M Gold Foil, y luego dibujé la Corona de Navidad con China Glaze Holly Day y luego los frutos rojos con Wynie 302.

Well I hope you liked it... I think its a good and simple manicure to wear on Christmas Day (I don't know why but I tend to wear golden things on Christmas...) Good Night Everyone!!

Winter Holiday Challenge #1: Snowflakes and Snowfall

Hi girls!!!
As I told you the other day I have joined two Christmas Challenges and today is the first day of the Crumpet's Winter Holiday Challenge. The theme is Snowflakes and Snowfall, which is perfect if you have the new Bundle Monster Plates Set (I love the Snowflakes pattern!) but I haven't bought them yet so I had to take a deep breath and freehand some.

Como os conté el otro día estoy participando en dos Retos Navideños y hoy es el primer día del Reto Winter Holiday de The Crumpet. El tema es Copos de Nieve y Nevada, lo que es perfecto si tienes el Nuevo Set de Placas de Bundle Monster (Me encanta el diseño de los copos de nieve!) pero no as he comprado todavía, así que tuve que respirar hondo y dibujar algunos...

I started with a base of H&M Miss Stone Heart and added a coat of Essence Frozen Queen on top to make it more sparkly and then freehanded everything with Acrylic Paint.
I loved the Snowflakes, but they were painful to paint because they need really thin lines, anyway I really like this manicure and I think is the perfect look for winter!



Comencé con una base de H&M Miss Stone Heart y añadí encima una capa de Essence Frozen Queen para hacerlo más brillante y luego lo dibujé todo con Pinturas Acrílicas.
Me encantaron los Copos de Nieve, pero fuero muy complicados de dibujar porque necesitan líneas muy finas, de todas formas me encanta esta manicura y creo que es el mejor look para el invierno!

Esmaltofílicas, El Reto #8: Futurista

Today the theme for the Esmaltofílicas Challenge is Futurist Manicure. I knew what I wanted to do since I first read the challenge, so I searched through the internet for some inspiration and voilá, this is my Futurist Manicure.

Hoy el tema del Reto Esmaltofílicas es Futurista. Ya sabía o que quería hacer desde que leí por primera vez el reto, así que busqué por internet imágenes para inspirarme y voilá, esta es mi Manicura Futurista.

As you can see I have trimmed my nails again, well, I had an accident and used it to make the Zombie Nails Tutorial, so I will post it really soon.



Como podeis ver me he cortado las uñas otra vez, bueno, tuve un pequeño accidente y lo aproveché para hacer el Tutorial de la Manicura Zombie, así que o subiré muy pronto.

To make this circuit manicure I applied one coat of H&M Lady Luck as the base, then I made the circuits with white acrylic paint and finally used YSNY 016 to add some light green details. No topcoat.

Para hacer esta manicura de circuitos apliqué una capa de H&M Lady Luck de base, luego hice los circuitos con pintura acrílica blanca, y por último, use YSNY 016 para añadir algunos detalles en verde claro. Sin topcoat.

Esmaltofílicas, El Reto #3: Moda

Few! I almost miss this entry, I thought I had to post the manicure inspired by "Fashion" tomorrow. I'm glad I checked it!
I chose my inspiration for this day on the Milan Fashion Week Spring Summer 2012. I don't use to watch these events because the clothes that are shown are not something that I would wear, that's why I challenged myself to find something that I actually liked, and I did!

Few! Casi se me pasa esta entrada, pensé que la manicura inspirada en Moda tenía que subirla mañana. Menos mal que lo comprobé!

Escogí mi inspiración para este día en la Pasarela de Milán Primavera Verano 2012. No suelo ver estos eventos porque la ropa que sale no me la pondría nunca, por eso me reté a mí misma a encontrar algo que realmente me gustara, y lo hice!

This beauty is a Alberta Ferretti design. I'm not sure if the beige lines are translucent, but I would like to think that they aren't because that way I could totally wear this dress. On the website where I found the image they say:

Certainly Ferretti's graceful body-skimming silk shifts, with their clean lines, make a positive change from bandage dresses. But are they flattering? Or put it another way, will Kate Winslet, numero uno champion of body-con, wear one? On initial evidence, I wouldn't put money on it. Sure, they're beautiful on the catwalk or Daisy Buchanan in The Great Gatsby but you have to be thin for this to look elegant.

I am not an expert but I couldn't disagree more. Just because a dress doesn't show half of your breasts or it isn't as tight as you are hardly able to breath is not a reason to not be flattering. And I don't think you need to be extremely thin be pretty with this dress. It's only my opinion.
But let's see the Nail Art!

Esta preciosidad es un diseño de Alberta Ferretti. No estoy segura de si las lineas beiges son transparentes o no, pero quiero pensar que no porque así seguro que me lo pondría. En la página donde encontré la imagen dicen:

Es verdad que los vestidos holgados de seda de Ferretti, con su línea simple, marcan un cambio positivo frente a los vestidos ajustados. ¿Pero son favorecedores? O diciéndolo de otra manera, ¿se lo pondría la campeona numero uno de la moda body-con (Moda con prendas muy ajustadas), Kate Winslet? Viendo lo evidente, yo no apostaría por ello. Si, son bonitos en la pasarela o para Dasy Buchanan en El Gran Gatsby pero hay que estar muy delgada para que este vestido quede elegante.

No soy una experta pero no puedo estar menos de acuerdo. Sólo porque un vestido no enseñe la mitad de tus pechos o no sea tan ajustado que no te deje casi respirar no es una razón para que no sea favorecedor. Y no creo que necesites estar extremadamente delgada para estar guapa con este vestido. Solo es mi opinión.

Pero vayamos al Nail Art!

As you can see I've reproduced the pattern on the dress onto my nails, and I just have to say that I LOVE IT! It looks elegant but pretty and totally a look that I would wear daily. The Coral color gives it a girly cute look that I adore.

Como podeis ver he reproducido el estampado del vestido en mis uñas, y solo puedo decir que ME ENCANTA! Es elegante pero bonito y un look que llevaría diariamente. El color Coral le da un toque suave que me gusta mucho.

I used Essence Gold Rush as my base and then freehanded the pattern with acrylics and a Nail Art brush. As you can see in the first picture I added a shiny topcoat, but I was missing the muted look of the matte acrylics and I decided to go with one coat of Essence Soft Touch Matte Topcoat (Which is one of the polishes of my Giveaway's price) and I loved it even more.

Como base he usado Essence Gold Rush y luego pinté el estampado con pinturas acrílicas y un pincel de Nail Art. Como podeis ver en la primera foto le añadí un topcoat brillante, pero echaba de menos el look apagado del mate de los acrílicos y decidí terminar con una capa de Essence Soft Touch Matte Topcoat (Que es uno de los esmaltes del premio de mi Sorteo) y asi me gustó incluso más.

Swap con El Tocador de Bella

Last week when I got home I had a BIG Package waiting for me. Nail Mail!! It was the things that Amparo from El Tocador de Bella had sent me because of the swap we were doing.

She had already told me that she was going to sent me one of the new Flormar Duochromes but I couldn't expect all the amazing stuff she sent!!

Millions of Rhinestones of all shapes and colours, and some things to stick to the nails like hearts, beads, stars...

Very fine glitter in all this colours, the one on the left is brown. / Glitter muy fino en todos estos colores, el de la izquierda es marron.

Medium Pink hex glitter, a really big bottle!! I will have pink glitter for a very very long time!

Some fimo canes, how cute is the Toad Mushroom? But my favourite is the butterfly, it's so detailed!

Algunas barritas de fimo, ¿a que es mona la setita Toad? Pero mi favorita es la mariposa, tiene mucho detalle.

A Vanilla Lip Balm that works like heaven and smells really well with this super cute owl packaging, and finally these girly-cute-glittery-superawesome nail files!!

Un Cacao de Vainilla que va genial y huele aún mejor con esta presentación de buhitos tan super mona, y finalmente estas limas superincreíbles-monosas-y-chulas!!

And then the polish stuff!! These beauties from Primark. The green one is really special, is a glittery duochrome that changes between green and pink. They are all very good for stamping!

Y por fin las cositas de esmaltes! Estas preciosidades de Primark. El verde es muy especial, es un esmalte escarchado con efecto duocrome que cambia entre verde y rosa. Y todos son buenos para estampar!

And also all these too! Kiko 323 Chocolate Brown, Flormar Miracle Colors U18, two Glow in the Dark polishes from Easy Paris and Yes Love, and finally Flormar Golden Duochrome DC02!!!

Today I have a quick post because I'm really busy again tyding my room... This movie is really funny and that's why I love it. The wolf trying to hunt Arturo make me cry of laughther and so when Merlin was chased by the fat squirrel because she wanted to... date? with him... hahaha
This is my atempt os Merlins face and the scene when he is packing all his books, I hope you can see it ;)

Hoy os traigo un post muy rápido porque vuelvo a estar muy ocupada reordenando mi cuarto... Esta película es muy graciosa, y por eso me encanta. El lobo intentando cazar a Arturo me hace llorar de risa, y tambien cuando Merlín era perseguido por la ardilla gorda porque quería... salir? con el... jajaja
Este es mi intento de hacer la cara de Merlín y el momento en el que está embalando sus libros, espero que lo podais ver ;)

I used acrylic paints as always and my new BarryM Denim, I love this polish, I don't know how to describe it.  It's really opaque just with one coat, it's a dark blue with kind of silver shimmer, and it dries semi matte. You can see it alone here.

He usado pinturas acrílicas como siempre y mi BarryM Denim nuevo, me encanta este esmalte... no sé cómo describirlo. Es muy opaco con sólo una capa, es un azul oscuro con algo parecido a shimmer plateado, y seca semi mate. Aquí lo podeis ver solo.

It's pretty isn'tn it? I have said before that I thought this polish would be good for acid wash, but it's not... I tried and when you use the acetone the shimmer comes out and turns the polish into a silver colour with hints of blue... But It's really good for stamping though.

Es bonito verdad? Ya dije que pensaba que este esmalte iba a ser genial para el acid was, bueno pues no lo es... Lo he intentado y cuando le pasas la acetona el shimmer sale y se queda con un color plateado con tonos de azul... Pero es genial para estampar.

Greetings everyone. I am Dina, from Secretary`s Nail Art I have been asked to do a Guest Post while Helena is away. 

She does some amazing nail art, and I hope you will like what I have for you today. 

I wanted a flirty and girly manicure, and since I just got nail mail from Models Own, they seems like a good idea to start.

This is two coats of Gold Rush from Models Own. 

Isn`t it lovely. 

Lately I have been loving gradients, and this was no exception. I cut a tiny piece of make-up sponge, and used Mystic Mauve from Models Own. Sponging from the middle and working it up to the tip of the nails. 

Then I grabbed my Bundlemonster plate from the the 2012 collection, number 314. I stamped using my WnW Black Creme, its one of my favorite stamping polishes.
