Christmas is getting nearer and this challenge is also moving forward and I am liking every day of it! Today I have made a skittle manicure (all nails different but forming a cohesive whole) with my favourite Holiday Colours, white, green, red, golden, silver and black, did I miss any? haha

La Navidad se va acercando y este reto tambien va cogiendo carrerilla y me están gustando cada uno de los días! Hoy he hecho una manicura skittle (todas las uñas diferentes formando un unico conjunto) con mis Colores de Fiesta favoritos, blanco, verde, rojo, dorado, plateado y negro, se me olvida alguno? jaja

The perfect holiday manicure! On my Index Finger I have used a base of China Glaze Holly Day and then topped it with Yes Love Snow Flack 17. The Middle and Ring Fingers have Flormar 310 as the base, but the first one has stripes made with Wynie 302 and BPS Striping Tape; and the second one has different sized dots made with China Glaze Passion. Last, but not least, we have Kiko Starry Black one of the polishes from the Sugar Matt Collection that is an exact dupe for Zoya Pixie Dust Dahlia.

Es la manicura de Navidad perfecta! En mi dedo Índice he utilizado como base China Glaze Holly Day y encima Yes Love Snow Flack 17. Los dedos Corazón y Anular llevan Flormar 310 de base, pero el primero tiene líneas con Wynie 302 y Stipping Tape de BPS; y el segundo puntos de diferentes tamaños hechos con China Glaze Passion. Por último, tenemos Kiko Starry Black, uno de los esmaltes de la Colección Sugar Matt que es un clon exacto de Zoya Pixie Dust Dahlia.

I think my favourite nail is the index, I really like that Yes Love topper and pairing it with Holly Day was a terrific combination! Also I have seen so many times textured polishes used for accent nails and I have never tried it until now, and I think I like it, although texture is not what I really like to feel on my nails...

Creo que mi uña favorita es la ïndice, me encanta ese topper de Yes Love y juntarlo con Holly Day hizo una combinación genial! Además he visto tantas veces los esmaltes con textura como accent nails y nunca lo había intentado hasta ahora, creo que me gusta, aun sabiendo que textura no es lo que más me gusta sentir en las uñas...

Overall I am very happy with how this manicure turned out. What do you think?

SummerNails Challenge 2: Playa/Beach

Today I finished my exams!! YAYYY!!! And to celebrate it I have recreated for today's Summer Nails Challenge theme, one of my all time favourites manicure: Chalkboard Nails' Beauty and the Beach.

Hoy he terminado los exámenes!! BIENNN!!! Y para celebrarlo he recreado para el tema de hoy del Reto SummerNails, una de mis manicuras preferidas desde siempre: Beauty and the Beach de Chalkboard Nails.

This was the first manicure I saw from Chalkboard Nails, and I fell in love with it, (and with all her other manicures hehe). I didn't want to copy it exactly, but everything was so perfect that I only changed the position of the designs. (Her sand nails are on the Index and Middle finger, and the other three have the water design).



Esta fue la primera manicura que vi de Chalkboard Nails, y me enamoré de ella (y de todas sus otras manicuras jaja). No quería copiarla exactamente, pero todo estaba tan bien hecho que solo cambié la posición de los diseños. (En la suya  las uñas de arena están en los dedos Índice y Corazón, y los otros tres tienen el diseño del agua).

For the water nails I made a gradient using Flormar 310 and Yes Love Y36. Then, using white acrylics, I freehanded water reflections. To make the sand nails I started with one coat of Essence Gold Rush, but it ended almost covered with tiny dots of different shades of nudes. I freehanded the little starfish with acrylic paints too.



Para las uñas de agua hice un degradado con Flormar 310 y Yes Love Y36. Luego, usando acrílica blanca, dibujé los reflejos del agua. Para hacer la arena comencé con una capa de Essence Gold Rush, pero quedó casi cubierta por los mini puntitos de diferentes tonos de nudes. Dibujé la pequeña estrella de mar también con acrílicos.

I have to remove this manicure soon to make some more, but when I take vacations to go to the beach I will be wearing these again for sure!! I hope you liked it!

Seven Deadly Sins Challenge Day 13: Pride

Pride is the last sin of the Deadly Sins Challenge and I am really sad that this is ending, but I am also happy because this was my first time organising a challenge and, even there were things that I could have done better, I think everyone had a great time! Anyway, this is not the last manicure, so let's enjoy it.

Os gustó mi manicura de ESDLA? Espero que si!
Orgullo es el último pecado del Reto de los Pecados Capitales y estoy muy triste de que se esté acabando, pero también estoy contenta porque ha sido mi primera vez organizando un reto y, aunque ha habido cosas que podrían haber salido mejor, creo que todo el mundo l pasó genial! De todas formas, esta no es la última manicura así que disfrutémosla.

The prompt for the first day of Pride says: "Recreate your own work to make it eve better". I made this prompt thinking about being proud of all we have learnt and improved with time, and I loved doing it! The manicure I have recreated was the Day 4 of the Summer Challenge, where I did an orange manicure with shiny dots over a matte base.



Las instrucciones para el primer día de Orgullo dicen: "Recrea tu propio trabajo para hacerlo aún mejor!. Hice estas instrucciones pensando en que todos estuviéramos orgullosos de lo que hemos aprendido y mejorado con el tiempo, y me ha encantado! La manicura que he recreado ha sido el Día 4 del Summer Challenge, donde hice una manicura naranja con lunares brillantes sobre una base mate.

This is the original picture (it has been less than one year ago!), and even I still think I have lots of things to improve, I can see other things that have gone better. Nail shape and length, cuticle care... Also I think my photography skills are better...



Esta es la foto original (Ha pasado menos de un año!), y aunque creo que todavía tengo muchas cosas que mejorar, se puede ver que otras cosas han mejorado. La forma de las uñas y la longitud, cutículas... También creo que mis fotografías son mejores...

In case you liked this manicure and want to recreate it yourself here it is what I used, it's really easy!
Two coats of China Glaze For Audrey, then one coat of Essence Special Effects Topper Soft Touch (matte Topcoat) and finally, playing with dotting tools in different sizes added the details with Seche Vite.

Valentine NAC #2: Hearts

Hi!
I'm a little bit late, but still on time. Today I started crocheting amigurumis again and totally forgot about the manicure...
The theme for today is hearts, well I just made one heart, but It's so big I don't think It's going to matter haha. I took the opportunity to try two new things that I've never done; Flocking Powder (Velvet) and 3D Nail Art and this is the final result!

Voy un poco tarde, pero todavía llego a tiempo. Hoy he comenzado a hacer amigurumis de crochet de nuevo y se me ha olvidado totalmente que tenía que hacer la manicura...
El tema paa hoy es corazones, bueno, yo solo he hecho uno, pero es tan grando que no creo que vaya a importar demasiado haha. He aprovechado la oportunidad para probar dos nuevas técnicas que nunca había hecho. Flocking Powder (Terciopelo) y Nail Art en 3D, y este es el resultado!

This Fuchsia Velvet from Born Pretty Store was given to me as a gift for my friend Xiito from Mis Potingadas y Más, and I have to say it applies very nicely and it's easy to use. I started with two coats of Flormar 400 and, with the help of a dotting tool, I made the polka dots with Yes Love Y75, then with the same colour I drew the heart with a Nail Art Brush and outlined it with the Nail Art Chain. Finally I used clear polish only over the pink and covered everything with Flocking Powder.

Este Terciopelo Fucsia de Born Pretty Store me lo regaló mi amiga Xiito de Mis Potingadas y Más, y tengo que decir que se aplica genial y es muy fácil de usar. Comencé con dos capas de Flormar 400 y , con la ayuda de un dotting tool, hice los polka dots con Yes Love Y75, luego, con el mismo color, dibujé el corazón con un Pincel de Nail Art y lo delineé con la Cadena para Nail Art. Para terminar usé esmalte transparente solo sobre el rosa y lo cubrí todo con Flocking Powder.

It's really fun to play with the flocking powder, you can do lots of things and I'm actually thinking about making some animal print with it, the only thing I don't like a lot is the weird feeling that happens when you rub your fingers or it makes contact with cloth, it gives me the shivers!



Es muy divertido jugar con el flocking powder, se pueden hacer infinidad de cosas y ya estoy pensando en hacer algun animal print con él, lo único que no me gusta demasiado es la sensación tan extraña que da cuando lo frotas con los dedos o toca algo de ropa, me da repelo!

And here you can see a close up of the 3D Nail Art, It's not very high, but is higher that I use to wear on my nails... A silver heart filled with fur! So Cute!! See you tomorrow with another challenge, until that why don't you have a look through what the other challengers have done?



Y aquí podeis ver un macro del Nail Art en 3D, no es muy alto, pero es más de lo que suelo llevar en las uñas... Una corazón plateado relleno de pelito suave! Que mono!! Reto Oh Oh Oh! #4: Nieve!

Oh the weather outside is frightful

I am sure you guessed today's theme. SNOW! At first I thought about sponging white on my tips like I did with the Snowflakes Manicure, but in the end I finished with something completely different.

Estoy segura de que ya habéis averiguado el tema de hoy. NIEVE! Lo primero que pensé fue hacer un degradado con blanco en las puntas como lo que hice con la Manicura de Copos de Nieve, pero al final teminé haciendo algo completamente diferente.

I started with a two coats of this amazing colour!!! Flormar U08 and then with Flormar 400 and three different sizes of dotting tools I made the "dotting gradient".

Comencé con dos capas de este color tan increíble!! Flormar U08 y luego, con Flormar 400 y tres tamaños diferentes de dotting tools hice el "degradado de puntos".

This looked so neat that I wish I could keep them on, but tomorrow is another day for the Winter Holiday Challenge and I have to paint them again... Sniff If I just wasn't so lazy....

Quedaron tan estupendas que me encantaría poder dejármelas puestas, pero mañana es otro día del Winter Holiday Challenge y me las tengo que pintar otra vez... Snifff Si no fuera tan vaga...

I love the macro shots of these Flormar polishes, Can you see the tiny blue flakies? They add so much dimension to the colour and they switch from blue to purple in different lighting.

Me encantan las fotos macro de estos esmaltes de Flormar. Veis los flakies diminutos? Le dan mucha dimensión al color y cambian de azul a morado dependiendo de la luz.

Esmaltofílicas, El Reto #1: Retro

¡Hola a todos!
Hoy comienzo un nuevo reto (Sí, otro más) que tenía mucha ilusión por comenzar: Esmaltofílicas, El Reto.
Los posts de este reto van a ser en Español únicamente en honor a este grupo de Esmaltofílicas de Facebook que precisamente fue creado para dar apoyo a las comunidades de nail art que fueran hispanohablantes.
Para el que no sepa de qué va es simplemente un grupo de facebook de adictas a los esmaltes y al nail art que hablamos Español y que echábamos en falta una comunidad de este tipo donde no nos limitara las barrera del lenguaje, ya que en la gran mayoría se habla en inglés, y por mucho que una sepa a veces no se puede expresar lo que se quiere decir bien y frustra un poco... Os invito a que participeis tanto en el Reto como en el grupo pinchando en el banner que hay en la barra lateral. Todo el mundo es bienvenido sea de donde sea.
Y bueno, vamos a lo que venimos hoy, la primera manicura de este primer reto grupal.

La temática es retro, así que aprovechando que estamos ya en otoño, escogí un estampado muy retro y colores muy otoñales.

Es muy sencilla de hacer, simplemente hay que utilizar tres dotting tools de tamaños diferentes y ya está. El esmalte que llevo de base es el KIKO 323, un marrón chocolate precioso y super brillante, excepto en el dedo anular no tuve que utilizar topcoat. Y para el estampado utilicé dos esmaltes de Bourjois, el Jaune Trendy y el Orange Creation.

Espero que os haya gustado tanto como a mi, que me encantó lo simple pero resultona que quedó, a todo el mundo le gustó. Un besazo para todos los lectores!!!!

Halloween Challenge #2: Black Cats

This is the second manicure of the Halloween Challenge. The theme for today is Black cats and I did a design that I am loving so much that I am sure that I will do it with other colours.

Esta es la segunda manicura del Reto de Halloween. El tema de hoy es Gatos Negros y el diseño que he hecho me gusta tanto que estoy segura de que lo repetiré con diferentes colores.

I know it's not a really scary manicure for halloween but this cat looks so cute that I don't mind. I used H&M Miss Stoned Heart as the base and added the paws with black acrylic paint and a dotting tool. The cat is made with acrylic paint in black, grey and white.

Y se que no es una manicura que de mucho miedo para halloween pero el gatito es tan mono que no me importa. He usado H&M Miss Stoned Heart como base y añadí las patitas con pintura acrílica negra y dotting tools. El gato está hecho con pinturas acrílicas negra, gris y blancas.

Disney Challenge Day 22: Tod y Toby

I can't believe I'm late again!! I have been very busy lately I even haven't been sleeping at my house. But I am determined to finish this challenge and that's what I'm going to do! 
Today I bring you The Fox and The Hound manicure. I have seen this movie but not so many times like the other ones, so I don't remember a lot of it.

No me puedo creer que vaya tarde otra vez!! He estado muy ocupada ultimamente, incluso he estado durmiendo fuera de mi casa. Pero estoy absolutamente decidida a acabar este reto y eso es lo que voy a hacer!
Hoy os traigo la manicura de Tod y Toby. He visto esta película, pero no tantas veces como las demás, asi que no recuerdo gran cosa...

I have to make a lot of manicures so I can catch up all my friends from this challenge, so you are going to see some easier manicures like this. As you can see I painted Tod and Toby (the fox and the hound, I don't know who is who...) on my ring finger, the name of the movie on my middle finger and finally paw prints on the others (Simple but cute!)

Tengo que hacer muchas manicuras para poder alcanzar a mis compañeras del reto, asi que vais a ver mas manicuras sencillitas como esta. Como podeis ver he pintado a Tod y Toby (El zorro y el perro, no se quien es quien...) en mi dedo anular, el nombre de la película en mi dedo corazón y finalmente huellas de patitas en los demás (Simple pero mono!)

The polish I used as a base is H&M Lady Luck, a great duochrome. I love the colour of this polish, but the duochrome effect is not very strong. I hope you liked this manicure, tomorrow I will post one of my favourites "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?".

El esmalte que he usado como base es H&M Lady Luck, un duochromo genial. Me encanta el color de este esmalte, pero el efecto duocromo no es muy evidente. Espero que os haya gustado la manicura, mañana subiré una de mis favoritas "¿Quién Engañó a Roger Rabbit?".

Disney Challenge Day 14: 101 Dálmatas

Hi girls!
Today I had a bad manicure day. I don't really like this movie and because of that I had no inspiration or skills today... I tried to draw some dalmatian puppies but I totally failed, so I went with something really simple.

Hoy he tenido un mal día para las manicuras. No me gusta mucho esta película y por ello hoy no he tenido ni inspiracion ni habilidad... He intentado dibujar algunos de los cachorrillos de dálmata pero he fallado estrepitosamente, así que he ido a por algo realmente simple.

Also my black and white nail polish are really goopy (I have to replace them!!) and I had to do this manicure just with acrylics.
If I had to chose one scene of the movie I would say the one with all the different dogs and their weird owners. Hahaha!

También he tenido problemas porque mis esmaltes blanco y negro están muy espesos (¡¡Tengo que cambiarlos!!) y he tenido que hacer la manicura sólo con los acrílicos.
Si tuviera que escoger una escena de la película diría en la que aparecen todos los perros diferentes con sus respectivos dueños raritos. ¡Jajaja!

Summer Challenge Day 32: Pink and Purple

Hi! Today is Purple and Pink Manicure for the Summer Challenge. I wasn't very inspired when I did this manicure, so I'm not sure if I like it, but... It's Pink and Purple!

Hola! Hoy es el día de la manicura Rosa y Morada del Summer Challenge. No estaba muy inspirada el día que hice esta manicura y no se si me gusta o no pero... es Rosa y Morado!!

What I used:
Sponged Deliplus nº64 for the French tips and added the lines with Easy Paris nº402 and the dots with white acrylic paint.

Summer Challenge Day 15: Hot Pink Freestyle Day

This is the real Day 15 of the summer challenge, because yesterday I misread and I did just freestyle day, so... This is Hot Pink freestyle day.

Este es la manicura real del dia 15 del Summer Challenge, porque ayer lei mal y solo hice una manicura de estilo libre, así que... este es el Dia de Rosa Fucsia en estilo libre.

This manicure it's an interpretation of Robin Moses "Skulls, Polka Dots & Glitter".

For this manicure I used:

Base: Yves Rocher Pastel Brillance nº03

French Tips: Deliplus nº64

Dots and glitter: Deliplus nº58 and Easy Paris Nail Art nº10

Skull: Acrylic Paints in Black, White and Hot Pink

Summer Challenge Day 13: Summer Fete

I'm sorry, I've had lots of troubles with blogger and I couldn't post until now. But at least! here is the Summer Fete manicure. I really didn't know how to do for this theme because in Spain we don't ususally do Summer Fetes, as long as I know we only celebrate spring and what people do is not a fete, is just getting drunk in the streets...
Well at the end I thought of doing something fun and colourful.

Lo siento, he estado teniendo un montón de problemas con blogger y no he podido postear hasta ahora. Pero, por fin!! aquí tenéis la manicura de Fiesta de Verano. Realmente no sabía que hacer  para este tema porque en España no hacemos fiestas de verano, hasta donde yo sé sólo celebramos la primavera y lo que hace la gente no es una fiesta, solo es emborracharse en la calle...
Bueno, al final decidí que quería hacer algo divertido y colorido.

I really liked the final result, even I'm not fond of having a white base. That's the manicure I'm wearing right now and  I like it so much that I think I'm not going to take it off soon.

For this manicure I used:

Base: Nagelim nº 99

Dots: Bourjois Jaune Trendy nº39, Leticia Well nºA11, Easy Paris nº57 y YesLove nºY18

Summer: Acrylic Paint in black

Me ha encantado el resultado final, incluso sabiendo que no me gusta mucho llevar la base en blanco. Esta es la manicura que llevo ahora mismo y me gusta tanto que no me la voy a quitar pronto.
