Zombie Nails Tutorial

Hi Girls!
Do you remember the Zombie Nails that I did for Crumpet's Halloween Nail Challenge? Well I promised a tutorial and that't what you have here today. I know it's late, but you know that I've been very busy and I also needed to let my nails grow again so you all can see how I destroy my tips again! Creepier that ever!!



Hola Chicas! Os acordais de las Zombie Nails que hice para el Reto de Halloween de Crumpet? Bueno, os prometí un tutorial y eso es lo que os traigo hoy. Ya sé que Halloween fue hace tiempo, pero sabeis que he estado muy ocupada y que además también tenía que dejar que mis uñas crecieran de nuevo para que todos podais ver cómo me destrozo las puntas otra vez! Con más repelo que nunca!!

This time I've done two images (English and Spanish) because it has more explanation, this way anyone can understand the tutorial. I hope you give it a try and I warn you, every nail is going to look amazingly different, so don't try to make them even, that's what makes this manicure so creepy!



Esta vez he hecho dos imágenes (Inglés y Español) porque creo que tiene un poco más de esxplicación, así todo el mundo puede entender el tutorial. Espero que a intenteis y os aviso de que cada uña va a salir diferente, así que no intentéis hacerlas todas iguales, por eso me da tanto miedo esta manicura!

Halloween Googly Eyes Tutorial

Hi Girls!
I'm one or two manicures behind with the challenges but it's because I am not going to have a camera to take the pictures until tomorrow, so today instead of having Halloween manicures I am going to show you one of the easiest tutorials you'll ever see. I hope you remember my Googly Eyes Halloween Manicure.

Voy una o dos manicuras atrasada con los retos, pero es porque no voy a tener cámara para hacer fotos hasta mañana, así que en vez de tener hoy una manicura de Halloween os voy a enseñar el tutorial más sencillo que vereis nunca. Espero que os acordeis de mi manicura de Halloween Googly Eyes.

Well, for all of you who want to recreate this manicure I have a tutorial!! I couldn't use smaller eyes, so if you have the smaller ones you could freehand less eyes and add more real googly eyes. Remember! The more it moves, the creepier it is!



Bueno, para todos aquellos que querais recrear esta manicura os traigo este tutorial!! No pude usar ojos más pequeños, así que si teneis ojillos más pequeños podeís dibujar menos ojos y añadir más de verdad. Recordad! Cuanto más se muevan, más de miedo queda!

Halloween Challenge #9: Influenced by a Scary Movie

Hi Girls!
This manicure is about a movie I have never seen, The Smiley, but I've seen the trailers and I want to see it!!!! It looks so scary!! and when I saw the incredible Robin Moses had a tutorial to make THIS MANICURE, I needed to do it!!

Esta manicura es sobre una película que nunca he visto, The Smiley, pero de la que he visto trailers y quiero verlaaa!!! Va a dar tanto miedo!! y cuando ví que la increíble Robin Moses tenían un tutorial para hacer ESTA MANICURA, no me pude resistir a hacerla!!

I followed Robin Moses' Tutorial step by step, so If you want a how to... I suggest going to see her video tutorial. I don't have the polishes she used so as the base I used Sinful Colors Let me Go, which gives a green-blue-white shimmer to my own flesh colour and then I created a flesh colour franken with China Glaze Princess Grace, Kiko 323 and a little bit of Bourjois Jaune Trendy, which I used for the accent nail and the frenck tips. Everything else is made with acrylics.



He seguido fielmente todos los pasos del tutorial de Robin Moses, así que si quereis un Cómo se hizo... os recomiendo ver su video tutorial. Yo no tengo los esmaltes que ella usa, así que para la base he usado Sinful Colors Let me go, que le da un shimmer verde-azul-blanco a mi tono de piel y luego creé mi propio franken color carne con China Glaze Princess Grace, Kiko 323 y un poquito de Bourjois Jaune Trendy, que usé para el accent nail y la manicura francesa. Todo lo demás está hecho con pintura acrílica.

I wanted it to look like rotten flesh or even old bone, so I used a matte topcoat (Essence Special Effect Topper Soft Touch). I think it looks great!! I hope you liked it too. Happy Halloween!!!



Quería que pareciera carne estropeada o incluso hueso viejo, así que usé un topcoat mate (Essence Special Effect Topper Soft Touch). Creo que quedó genial!! Espero que os guste también. Feliz Halloween!!!

Halloween Challenge #8: Blood/ Gore/ Splatter

Hi girls!
Finally I have been able to take pictures with my camera. I lost my SD and I didn't even get the chance to do the manicures, so, because today is Halloween, I am going to post all the manicures I have missed.
We are going to start with the blood/gore/splatter, I wasn't really on the mood of making another splatter (I didn't want to mess up everything, and I also hate the cleanup...) So I made this... thing... using the fan brush.

Por fin he podido hacer fotos con mi cámara. Perdí mi SD y ni siquiera he tenido tiempo de hacer las manicuras, así que, como hoy es Halloween, voy a subir todas las manicuras que llevo atrasadas.
Vamos a comenzar por la de blood/gore/splatter, no tenía ningunas ganas de hace otro splatter (No quería ensuciarlo todo y además odio limpiarlo...) Así que he hecho..... esto.... usando un pincel en abanico.

I started with a base of Catrice Sing Oh! Champs Eliseés and I made brush strokes with Kiko 323, a chocolate brown. On top I made more brush strokes with Wynie 302 and finally I added more brush strokes just on the tips with China Glaze Ruby Pumps (a red glitter polish with jelly base)



Comencé con una base de Catrice Sing Oh! Champs Eliseés e hice rayas con el pincel con Kiko 323, un marrón chocolate. Encima hice más líneas con Wynie 302 y para terminar añadí en las puntas China Glaze Ruby Pumps (Un glitter rojo con base jelly)

You may be wondering why I used a chocolate brown first, well, as you can see, it gives the impression of dried blood (which is kind of brown...) I know is not a splatter, but it's bloody and gore so I hope you like it!

Tal vez os esteis preguntando por qué use primero un marrón chocolate, bueno, como podeis ver en algunas zonas da la impresión de sangre seca (que es mas o menos marrón...) Ya se que esta manicura no es splatter, pero es sangrienta y gore, asi que espero qeu os guste!

Halloween Challenge #7: Pumpkins

Hi Girls!
Today I had an amazing day shopping with Xiito from Mis Potingadas y Más and Pili from La Fabulosa Historia. Two blogs that you should check! That's why this post it's going to be so short. Today the theme for the Halloween Challenge is Pumkins!! I wanted to do something cute and realistic (kinda) and that's what I did.

Hoy he tenido un día increíble porque he ido de compras con Xiito de Mis Potingadas y Mas y Pili de La Fabulosa Historia. Dos blogs que os recomiendo totalmente! Por eso este post va a ser tan corto. Hoy el tema del Reto de Halloween es Calabazas!! Y yo quería hacer algo mono y realista (mas o menos) y esto es lo que he hecho.

I started with two coats of Catrice Sing Oh! Chapmps Elisees, then I did a french manicure with brown hex glitter (The picture is not showing the real colour) and then freehanded the pumpkins with acrylic paints.
I hope you liked it, maybe tomorrow I will edit and add more pictures, but right now I don't have time ;)

Comencé con dos capas de Catrice Sing Oh! Chapmps Elisees, luego hice una manicura francesa con glitters marrones (En la foto no se aprecia el color) y por último dibujé las calabazas con pinturas acrílicas.
Espero que os haya gustado, tal vez mañana edite el post y añada más fotos, pero ahora mismo no tengo tiempo ;)

Halloween Challenge Day #6: Things that go Bump in the Night/ Esmaltofílicas, El Reto #4: Peli Favorita

I'm one day late on the Halloween Challenge. Yesterday it was Things that Go Bump in the Night (Monsters...) and I didn't know what to do until I remembered one of the Halloween manicures that I had pinned a few days before. This Manicure is so simple but yet so pretty!
Besides that, today is the "Favourite Movie" day on the Esmaltofílicas Challenge and coincidence? my favourie movie is Interview with the Vampire!

Voy un dia tarde con el Reto de Halloween. Ayer tocaba Cosas que Moran en la Noche (Monstruos...) y no sabía qué hacer hasta que recordé una de las manicuras que había pineado unos días antes. Esta manicura es tan simple pero aun asi bonita!

Además hoy es el día de Peli Favorita en el reto de Esmaltofílicas y coincidencia? mi peli favorita es Entrevista con el Vampiro!

I really love Interview with the Vampire, Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise are amazing! And really handsome ;)
To make this manicure I first painted a base of Deliplus nº58 and then made the dripping blood and the fangs with white acrylic. Finally I used the red acrylic on top and a red glitter topcoat because I don't have China Glaze Ruby Pumps as the blogger that made the original manicure, but I did have this Justy Cosmetics Glitter Topcoat that works really well.

Para hacer esta manicura primero pinté una base de Deliplus nº58 y luego hice la sangre chorreando y los colmillos con acrílico blanco. Al final utilicé acrílico rojo encima del blanco y un topcoat de glitter rojo porque no tengo el China Glaze Ruby Pumps como la blogger que hizo la manicura original, pero sí que tengo este Topcoat de Glitter Rojo de Justy Cosmetics que va genial.

Halloween Challenge #5: Freestyle Halloween

This is going to be a really quick post because It's very late and I need to sleep!!! I saw This Manicure from Robin Moses a few days ago and I knew I needed to try it for Halloween. This is my interpretation of her Googly Google Eyes.

Este va a ser un post realmente rápido porque es muy tarde y necesito dormir!!! Hace unos días vi Esta Manicura de Robin Moses y supe que necesitaba hacerla para Halloween. Esta es mi interpretación de sus Googly Google Eyes.

I bought the eyes at a Chinese store and they were the smallest they had (Still too big) so I freehanded most of them. Although it's a really simple manicure I am working on a tutorial that I hope you will find useful.

Compré los ojos en una tienda China y eran los más pequeños que tenían (Aun asi son demasiado grandes) así que hice la mayoría a mano. Aunque es una manicura muy simple estoy trabajando en un tutorial que espero que encontréis útil.

The base is Deliplus nº58 and everything else is made with acrylics and a Nail Art brush. See you soon!!

Witches and Bats Tutorial

Do you remember the manicure I did a few day ago for the Halloween Challenge? I promised there were two tutorials coming and I've been working really hard to make them. I know some of you wanted a video tutorial but I really don't have the skills to make a video and edit it, so for the moment they have to be photo tutorials. So you can remember here it is the Halloween Challenge manicure: Witches!

¿ Recordáis la manicura que hice hace unos días para el Reto de Halloween? Prometí que había dos tutoriales que vendrían próximamente y he estado trabajando duro para hacerlos. Ya se que algunos me pedisteis video tutoriales, pero no tengo la habilidad necesaria para hacer un video y editarlo, así que de momento tendrán que ser foto tutoriales. Para que la recordéis os dejo la manicura del Reto de Halloween: Witches!

We are going to start with the bats, I made them in white because they would glow better with the glow in the dark topcoat, but you can do them in any colour you want. Just choose a base colour and another for the bats.

Vamos a empezar con los murciélagos, yo los pinté en blanco porque así brillarían más con el topcoat glow in the dark, pero vosotros los podeis hacer con el color que más os guste. Simplemente hay que escoger un color de base y otro para los murciélagos.

Easy right? I loved how they looked like winged eggs haha. I hope this tutorial help you to make your own bats. The witch has more details but if you go step by step you'll do fine!

Fácil ¿Verdad? Me encantó como parecían huevos con alitas jajaja. Espero que este tutorial os ayude a hacer vuestros propios murcielagos. La bruja tiene más detallitos, pero si vais paso a paso no endréis ningún problema.

Remember to look for the easy shapes, I usually when I try to draw something I just think one line here, one circle there... and finally all together is a witch, but I don't try to do a witch from the beginning  just one simple shape at a time. Another trick that really helps me is to draw with the picture I want to copy face down, that way I don't recognise the hole shape and I have to focus on one shape at a time as I said before. Recordad buscar las formas más sencillas, normalmente cuando intento dibujar algo simplemente pienso en una línea aquí, un circulo acá... y finalmente todo junto es una bruja, pero no intento dibujar una bruja desde el principio, sólo una forma sencilla cada vez. Otro truco que me ayuda mucho es dibujar con la imagen de la que estoy copiando boca abajo, así no reconozco la forma completa y me tengo que centrar en hacer un trocito cada vez como he dicho antes. Halloween Challenge #4: Witches

Hi everyone!
Quick post because it's really late here in Spain and I need to rest. Today I bring you another of the Halloween Challenge manicures, of course this is not as spectacular, creepy and gore as the Zombies manicure, but I like the colour combination.

Una pasada rápida por aquí que es super tarde (En España) y necesito descansar. Hoy os traigo otra de las manicuras de Reto de Halloween, por supuesto no es tan espectacular, asquerosilla ni gore como la de Zombies, pero me gusta la combinación de colores.

I know the theme was about witches and you can only see bats, but I have to say that I made the witch first and then... came the bat-inspiration. What can I do? Anyway I have read all you suggestions on the giveaway's comments and a lot of you said that you would like more tutorials, so a Witch and a Bats Tutorials are coming in case you want to reproduce this manicure.

Ya se que el tema eran las brujas y que lo único que podeis ver son murciélagos, pero tengo que decir que hice la bruja primero y luego... vino la bat-inspiración. Que le voy a hacer? De todas formas he estado leyendo todos los comentarios que me habeis dejado en el Sorteo y mucho decis que os gustaría ver más tutoriales, así que un tutorial de Bruja y otro de Murciélagos vendrán proximamente, en el caso de que querais reproducir esta manicura.

To make this manicure I used Acrilyc Paints for the drawings, Deliplus nº58 as the base for my ring finger and Easy Paris nº402 for all the other nails. The tiny black dots are a black glitter polish that I added after doing the bats, Easy Paris nº156.

Para hacer esta manicura he usado pinturas acrílicas para hacer los dibujos, Deliplus nº58 como base para el dedo anular y Easy Paris nº402 para todas las demás uñas. Los puntitos negros son un esmalte de glitter negro que añadí luego de hacer los murciélagos, Easy Paris nº156.

And finally the Glow in the Dark Topcoat Yes Love nº6. That's why I did the bats in white, because that way they will GLOW!!  I hope you liked it and don't forget to join my Giveaway!!!

Halloween Challenge #3: Zombies

Hi Everyone!
I WARN YOU! This is a scary manicure, not apt for people with weak hearts... I'm just kidding of course but this manicure really scared my mum... hahaha ZOMBIE NAILS!

OS ADVIERTO! Esta manicura es terrorífica, no apta para corazones débiles... Estoy de broma, por supuesto, pero esta manicura asustó de verdad a mi madre... jajaja ZOMBIE NAILS!

First I have to say THESE ARE MY REAL NAILS! Cool huh? I just waited until I needed a nail cut so I could destroy my tips without damaging any useful nail.

Lo primero que quiero decir es que SON MIS UÑAS REALES! Chulas enh? Solo tuve que esperar a que mis uñas necesitaran un corte para poder destrozarme las puntas sin echar a perder el resto de la uña.

To make these I used a mix of different techniques, all really easy if you want to give them a try for Halloween. But first of all I had to do the most painful thing; with a little scissor I cut my tips trying to make them uneven and ripped. OUCH!

Para hacerlas utilicé una mezcla de diferentes técnicas, todas ellas muy sencillas por si quereis intentarlo en Halloween. Pero antes que nada tuve que hacer a cosa más dolorosa, con unas pequeñas tijeras corté las puntas de mis uñas intentando que parecieran desiguales y arrancadas. OUCH!

First I applied a really sheer coat of a light purple nail polish, Yes Love Pastel Purple, to give them a sick look, then I used Seche Vite to protect it and when it was completely dry I sponged the tips with a dark red colour, Deliplus nº60. Then I added a coat of black (Deliplus nº58) touching my cuticles with the brush to get a messy look and right after that I rubbed a clean cotton ball taking most of it but leaving this rusty, dirty and creepy look. No final topcoat.

Primeo apliqué una capa muy transparente de un morado claro, Yes Love Pastel Purple, para darle un aspecto enfermizo,luego use See Vite para protegelo y cuando estaba completamente seco le di a las puntas con una esponja y color rojo oscuro, Deliplus nº60. Luego añadí una capa de negro (Deliplus nº58) tocando las cutículas con el pincel para conseguir que todo se manchara, y justo después arrastré un algodón por la superficie quitándo la mayor parte del negro, pero dejando ese aspecto sucio y asqueroso. Sin topcoat.

I said that the Candy Corn pattern was really easy to do, so I thought of making a tutorial for all of you that want to wear it for this Halloween. I hope you like it.

Halloween Challenge #2: Black Cats

Happy Halloween!
This is the second manicure of the Halloween Challenge. The theme for today is Black cats and I did a design that I am loving so much that I am sure that I will do it with other colours.

Esta es la segunda manicura del Reto de Halloween. El tema de hoy es Gatos Negros y el diseño que he hecho me gusta tanto que estoy segura de que lo repetiré con diferentes colores.

I know it's not a really scary manicure for halloween but this cat looks so cute that I don't mind. I used H&M Miss Stoned Heart as the base and added the paws with black acrylic paint and a dotting tool. The cat is made with acrylic paint in black, grey and white.

Y se que no es una manicura que de mucho miedo para halloween pero el gatito es tan mono que no me importa. He usado H&M Miss Stoned Heart como base y añadí las patitas con pintura acrílica negra y dotting tools. El gato está hecho con pinturas acrílicas negra, gris y blancas.

Halloween Challenge #1: Trick or Treat!

Hi!
It's been a while since I posted the last time... I had some disaster one right after another. One of them was my laptop suddenly diying, for no reason, and I had to buy another one, and I haven't even finished changing all the information to the new laptop. Well, I hope everything will be normal soon...

Today is the first day of the Crumpet's Halloween Challenge, at first I was hesitating about joining because you all know that I'm behind with the Disney Challenge and the Esmaltofílicas Challenge is about to start. But I decided that if I take it with pacience and NOT promising to do every manicure I think it will be fun, and I was dying to have an excuse to make Halloween Nails!

Hace ya un tiempo que actualicé por última vez... He estado teniendo catástrofes unas detrás de otras. Una de ellas fue la repentina muerte de mi ordenador, sin ninguna razón, y he tenido que comprarme otro y ni siquiera he podido terminar de pasar toda la información al portátil nuevo. Bueno, espero que todo vuelva a la normalidad pronto...

Hoy es el primer día del Reto de Halloween de Crumpet, al principio estuve dudando si unirme porque ya sabeis que voy atrasada con el de Disney y el Reto de Esmaltofílicas está a punto de empezar. Pero he decidido que si lo llevo con paciencia y NO prometiendo hacer cada manicura creo que será divertido, y me estaba muriendo de ganas de hacer una manicura de Halloween!

I've been putting so much effort on doing elaborated manicures for the Disney Challenge that I feel that I am needing more simple manicures. That's why I chose to do a plain base, with just one colour letters and you can't imagine how easy is to do the Candy Corn Pattern of the accent nail (A Tutorial is coming!)

Me he estado esforzando tanto en hacer manicuras elaboradas para el Reto Disney que siento que necesito hacer manicuras mas simples. Por eso he escogido un color plano de base, un único tono para las letras y no os imaginais lo fácil que es hacer el dibujo del accent nail (Tutorial Proximamente!)

I have used Deliplus nº58 for the base, Acrylic Paints for the Candy Corns and letters and finally added two coats of my new nail polish Easy Paris 607 Glow in the Dark. Amparo, fom El Tocador de Bella and I have made a swap recently and this is one of the babies she sent me. (A post is coming)

He utilizado el Deliplus 58 para la base, Pinturas Acrílicas para hacer el Candy Corn y las letras y para terminar añadí dos capas de mi nuevo esmalte Easy Paris 607 Glow in the Dark. Amparo de El Tocador de Bella y yo hemos hecho hace poco un swap y este es uno de mis bebés nuevos. (Próximamente un post)

Isn't amazing how it glows? I assume I didn't shaked well the bottle and that's why there are tiny little dots that glow more, or maybe that's how it works, I don't know, but I love it. And even inside the bottle is a yellow polish it applies absolutely clear.

¿No es increíble cómo brilla? Me imagino que no agité bien el bote y por eso se ven un montón de puntitos que brillan más, o tal vez es que es así, no lo se, pero me encanta. Y aunque dentro del bote sea amarillo queda totalmente transparente cuando lo aplicas.

Espero que os haya gustado y que no me abandoneis aunque vaya con retraso...
