Hello Girls!

Christmas is getting nearer and this challenge is also moving forward and I am liking every day of it! Today I have made a skittle manicure (all nails different but forming a cohesive whole) with my favourite Holiday Colours, white, green, red, golden, silver and black, did I miss any? haha

La Navidad se va acercando y este reto tambien va cogiendo carrerilla y me están gustando cada uno de los días! Hoy he hecho una manicura skittle (todas las uñas diferentes formando un unico conjunto) con mis Colores de Fiesta favoritos, blanco, verde, rojo, dorado, plateado y negro, se me olvida alguno? jaja

The perfect holiday manicure! On my Index Finger I have used a base of China Glaze Holly Day and then topped it with Yes Love Snow Flack 17. The Middle and Ring Fingers have Flormar 310 as the base, but the first one has stripes made with Wynie 302 and BPS Striping Tape; and the second one has different sized dots made with China Glaze Passion. Last, but not least, we have Kiko Starry Black one of the polishes from the Sugar Matt Collection that is an exact dupe for Zoya Pixie Dust Dahlia.

Es la manicura de Navidad perfecta! En mi dedo Índice he utilizado como base China Glaze Holly Day y encima Yes Love Snow Flack 17. Los dedos Corazón y Anular llevan Flormar 310 de base, pero el primero tiene líneas con Wynie 302 y Stipping Tape de BPS; y el segundo puntos de diferentes tamaños hechos con China Glaze Passion. Por último, tenemos Kiko Starry Black, uno de los esmaltes de la Colección Sugar Matt que es un clon exacto de Zoya Pixie Dust Dahlia.

I think my favourite nail is the index, I really like that Yes Love topper and pairing it with Holly Day was a terrific combination! Also I have seen so many times textured polishes used for accent nails and I have never tried it until now, and I think I like it, although texture is not what I really like to feel on my nails...

Creo que mi uña favorita es la ïndice, me encanta ese topper de Yes Love y juntarlo con Holly Day hizo una combinación genial! Además he visto tantas veces los esmaltes con textura como accent nails y nunca lo había intentado hasta ahora, creo que me gusta, aun sabiendo que textura no es lo que más me gusta sentir en las uñas...

Overall I am very happy with how this manicure turned out. What do you think?

SummerNails Challenge 6: Sirena/Mermaid

Hi Everyone!!
Finally we are at a SummerNails Challenge Day that it's not about fruits!! Yayyy!! I have enjoyed them but now it's time to do something different.
I have already done mermaid nails before when we were doing the Disney Challenge, I loved my Little Mermaid nails, but today I wanted to make something different, and easier.

Por fin estamos en un día del Reto SummerNails que no es sobre frutas!! Bienn!! Las he disfrutado, pero ahora es hora de hacer algo diferente.
Ya he hecho anteriormente uñas de Sirena cuando estábamos haciendo el Reto Disney, me encantaron mis uñas de La Sirenita, pero hoy quería hacer algo diferente, y sencillo.

Perfect for summer! But I have to say that I made an awful mistake that was not using a topcoat on top, then I went to bed... and when I woke up I had lost most of the glequins and they were all over my face, body and bed... I have been finding glequins everywhere for a week!!!



Perfectas para el veranito! Pero tengo que decir que cometí un tremendo error, que fue no usar topcoat encima, luego me fui a la cama... y cuando me desperté había perdido la mayoría de los glequins, que estaban pegados por toda mi cara, cuerpo y cama... he estado encontrando glequins por todos lados durante una semana!!!

To make this manicure I first applied one coat of Kiko 401, and then started adding the BPS glequins in Turquoise, Navy Blue, Green, Yellow and Silver, randomly. On the accent nails the glequings are placed on top of each other like fish (or mermaid) scales, on the other fingers they are making waves that remind me of the sea...



Para hacer esta manicura primero apliqué una capa de Kiko 401, y luego comencé a añadir los glequins de BPS en Turquesa, Azul Marino, Verde, Amarillo y Plateado, de forma aleatoria. En las accent nails los glequins están colocados unos encima de otros como escamas de peces (o sirenas), en las otras uñas están haciendo ondas que me recuerdan al mar...

Which one do you prefer? The complicated and beautiful Little Mermaid Nails? Or the simple and neat Mermaid Scales Nails? Anyway I hope you enjoyed both of them!!

Seven Deadly Sins Challenge Day 2: Lust

Hi Girls!
Yay! I'm so excited with this challenge that I'm even going ahead! Being responsible and stuff... doing all the manicures before the posting date... I hope I will keep doing it until the end because you all know how I am always late when I have to do a challenge.
Well, the second prompt for Lust says: "Let your body talk and feel free to do whatever you want" so I did something more Lust Inspired...

Yay! Estoy tan emocionada con este reto que voy incluso por delante! Siendo responsable y eso... haciendo todas las manicuras antes de la fecha de subirlas... Espero seguir así hasta el final porque ya sabeis como siempre voy tarde cuando estoy con un reto.
Bueno, las segundas instruciones de Lujuria dicen: "Deja te tu cuerpo te guíe y siéntete libre de hacer lo que quieras" así que he hecho algo más inspirado en la Lujuria...

Corsets! The first time I saw THIS Robin Moses' Design I knew someday I will do something inspired on it... And I love the result, although when I did these nails I had short nails I thought they looked really good, and I also was really happy because I could use my new Silver Acrylic Paint for the first time!



Corsets! La primera vez que vi ESTE Deseño de Robin Moses supe que algún día haría algo inspirado en él... Y me encanta el resultado, aunque cuando hice estas uñas las tenía cortas pensé que quedaban muy bien, y también estaba muy contenta porque pude usar mi Pintura Acrílica Plateada por primera vez!

Here you can see it on full detail with this macro shot. I first applied one coat of Yves Rocher Pastel Brillance, then, with a stripping brush and brown acrylic watered down, I made the lines for the background. The next thing was to freehand the corset with black, white, pink and silver acrylics. Finally I topped everything with one coat of Seche Vite.



Aquí podeis verlo a todo detalle con esta foto macro. Primero apliqué una capa de Yves Rocher Pastel Brillance, luego, con un pincel delineador y acrílica marrón reabajada con agua, hice las líneas del fondo. Lo siguiente fue dibujar a mano el corset con pintura acrílica negra, blanca, rosa y plateada. Finalmente lo cubrí todo con una capa de Seche Vite.

When I tried the silver acrylic I had a feeling and started playing mixing it with other colours, and it seems that if you do that every colour would turn into it's pearl shade! For example: Pink + Silver = Pearl Pink, or White + Silver = Pearl White!! I can't wait to try other colour combinations and see what I can do with them...



Cuando probé el acrílico plateado tuve una corazonada y comencé a jugar mezclandolo con otros colores, y parece que si lo haces cada color se convierte en su propio tono perlado! Por ejemplo: Rosa + Plateado = Rosa Perlado, o Blanco + Plateado = Blanco Perlado!! No puedo esperar para probar otras combinacines de colores y ver que puedo hacer con ellas...

Winter Holiday Challenge #1: Snowflakes and Snowfall

Hi girls!!!
As I told you the other day I have joined two Christmas Challenges and today is the first day of the Crumpet's Winter Holiday Challenge. The theme is Snowflakes and Snowfall, which is perfect if you have the new Bundle Monster Plates Set (I love the Snowflakes pattern!) but I haven't bought them yet so I had to take a deep breath and freehand some.

Como os conté el otro día estoy participando en dos Retos Navideños y hoy es el primer día del Reto Winter Holiday de The Crumpet. El tema es Copos de Nieve y Nevada, lo que es perfecto si tienes el Nuevo Set de Placas de Bundle Monster (Me encanta el diseño de los copos de nieve!) pero no as he comprado todavía, así que tuve que respirar hondo y dibujar algunos...

I started with a base of H&M Miss Stone Heart and added a coat of Essence Frozen Queen on top to make it more sparkly and then freehanded everything with Acrylic Paint.
I loved the Snowflakes, but they were painful to paint because they need really thin lines, anyway I really like this manicure and I think is the perfect look for winter!



Comencé con una base de H&M Miss Stone Heart y añadí encima una capa de Essence Frozen Queen para hacerlo más brillante y luego lo dibujé todo con Pinturas Acrílicas.
Me encantaron los Copos de Nieve, pero fuero muy complicados de dibujar porque necesitan líneas muy finas, de todas formas me encanta esta manicura y creo que es el mejor look para el invierno!

Esmaltofílicas, El Reto #9: Flores

This post was programmed to be posted yesterday, but I don't know why it didn't worked... well, I hope you don't mind...
Yesterday I went to a Chinese Store with Xiito and Pili and I bought some nail foils that I thought would be perfect for the challenge. I really like the design.

Este post estaba programado para publicarse ayer, pero no se por qué no lo hizo... bueno, espero que no os importe...
Ayer fui a una tienda de Chinos con Xiito y Pili y compré algunos foils para las uñas que pensé que irían bien para el reto. La verdad es que el diseño me encanta.

It was my first time applying foils and, as you can see, they have little wrinkles on the tips and they are not very well cut, but to be a 0,75€ foil I would say that they are pretty good. Once I applied them I made dots on the centre of the flowers with Sofía Kosmo Silver.



Ha sido mi primera vez usando foils y, como podeis ver, tienen arruguitas en las puntas y no estan muy bien cortadas, pero para ser unos foils que valen 0,75€ creo que están bastante bien. Una vez que las había aplicado hice puntos en el centro de las flores con Sofía Kosmo Silver.

I loved the pattern and they worked so well that I am already thinking of buying some more. See you soon and thanks for reading!!

Claire's Holo Silver Glitter

I know I'm skipping a lot of Challenge manicures from the Summer Challenge and the Disney Challenge, but I didn't had time to do them before I left, and instead I'm showing you this amazing polish (but I promise to post the challenge manicures when I come back). As I told you in the Splatter Manicure this is a polish that I bought a long time ago but I hadn't tried yet. Look how pretty it is under the sun.

¡Hola chicas!
Ya sé que me estoy saltando muchas manicuras del Summer Challenge y del Disney Challenge, pero no me dio tiempo de hacerlas antes de irme, y en vez de eso os enseño este pintauñas increíble (pero os prometo que subiré las manicuras del reto cuando vuelva de las vacaciones). Como os dije en la Splatter Manicure este es un pintauñas que compré hace tiempo pero que todavía no había utilizado. Mirad lo bonito que se ve bajo el sol.

Index: One Coat, Middle F: Two Coats, Ring F: Three Coats, Pinky: Three Coats and TopCoat.
It's almost a two coater, but if you need full coverage I will go with three, which is not a problem because this polish dries really fast! It dryes matte and gritty but the glitter is so fine that you can smooth it with one coat of Seche Vite and the shine of the glitter is even better.

Índice: Una Capa, Corazón: Dos Capas, Anular: Tres Capas, Meñique: Tres Capas y TopCoat.
Es practicamente opaco en dos capas, pero si quieres una cobertura completa yo daría tres capas, lo que no es un problema porque este pintauñas ¡seca muy rápido! Tiene un acabado mate y rugoso pero el glitter es tan fino que con una capa de Seche Vite se puede suavizar, y el brillo del glitter queda aún mejor.

I don't know why there's so much difference between one and two coats, but I swear I used really thin coats in both cases. I suppose, because the glitter is really small, the first coat helps the glitter to stay when you give the second. Here you can see how three coats look like with a macro shot.

No sé por qué hay tanta diferencia entre una y dos capas, pero os prometo que he usado capas muy finas en los dos casos. Supongo que, como el glitter es muy pequeño, la primera capa ayuda a que el glitter se quede al dar la segunda. Aquí podeis ver como son tres capas con aumento.

As you can see glitter is so fine that you can't really see it eve if you are that close. In the sun it shines a lot but in the shadow... it's pretty too, but it looses all its holo.

Como podéis ver el glitter es tan fino que no se puede apreciar realmente incluso estando tan cerca. En el sol brilla mucho, pero a la sombra... es bonito también, pero pierde todo el holo.

I'm sorry for the bad cleaning but one of the best/worst thing of this polish is its cleaning. Compared with regular glitters it's really easy to clean, from the nail, but it stays on you fingers, cuticles, clothes... and everything is close to you.
Even so, I strongly reccomend it because for 3.50€ you can't ask for more. ;)

Siento lo mal que he limpiado esta vez, pero una de las mejores/peores cosas que tiene este pintauñas es limpiarlo. Comparado con los glitters normales es verdaderamente fácil de quitar, de las uñas, pero se queda en tus dedos, cutículas, ropa... y todo lo que esté cerca de ti.
Aún así lo recomiendo porque por 3.50€ no podemos pedir más. ;)

Summer Challenge Day 44: Splatter Manicure

Hi Girls!
Don't worry, this is going to be a short post because I have just posted another one for the Disney Challenge.
Today was Splatter Manicure I technique I have never done before. I have to say that I love the result, but I don't think I'm going to do it again soon because it's really messy, wastes a lot of polish and it's a real pain to clean!! I spent more time on the clean up than actually doing the manicure, and I used vaseline!

No os preocupeis, esta entrada va a ser cortita porque acabo de subir otra con la manicura del Disney Challenge.
Hoy es la Splatter Manicure (¿Manicura Salpicada?) una técnica que no había hecho antes. Tengo que decir que aunque me ha encantado como ha quedado no creo que vaya a repetirlo pronto porque es muy sucia, gasta un montón de pintauñas y ¡¡es un trabajazo limpiarla!! He tardado más en quitarme toda la pintura de las uñas y los dedos que en hacer la manicura, ¡y eso que utilicé vaselina!

The base colour it's an amazing polish that I bought a long time ago but I haven't tried yet. I'm not going to talk about it because I have a post programmed in a few days, it's a surprise! I'm just going to say that it's amazin how it shines in the sunlight. Here you have a pic out of focus so you can see it, it looks like it's made with photoshop!

El color de base es un pintauñas increíble que compré hace mucho pero que aún no había usado. No os voy a hablar de él porque tengo ya una entrada programada para él dentro de unos días, ¡es una sorpresa! Sólo os voy a decir que es increíble cómo brilla en el sol. Aquí teneis una foto desenfocada para que lo podais ver mejor, ¡parece que está hecha con Photoshop!

Summer Challenge Day 43: Olimpic Medals

Hi girls!
I know I've skipped a lot of manicures of the summer challenge, but here in Spain we don't follow the Olimpic Games a lot and it doesn't inspire me... And I was busy doing the Disney Challenge too.
Well but for today I have a very simple manicure with a new technique.
It's not my best try, and I will do it again and keep practising. This is an interpretation of the Olimpic Medals and  I wanted to keep it really simple, so I painted one nail Golden, another silver and the third one bronze, just  as the medals, and framed them.

Ya se que me he saltado muchas manicuras del Reto de Verano, pero aquí en España no seguimos demasiado los Juegos Olímpicos y no me inspiran mucho... Y también he estado ocupada con el Disney Challenge.
Bueno, para hoy os traigo na manicura muy simple con una tecnica nueva.
No es mi mejor intento, y lo tengo que intentar de nuevo y seguir practicando. Es una interpretacion de las Medallas Olímpicas y he querido que fuera realmente simple, así que he pintado un dedo en dorado, otro en plateado y el tercero en bronce, como las medallas y las he enmarcado.

I made the frame with acrylic paint in black and a stripping brush, and it was hard for me to make the lines straight and even.

What I used:

Base: China Glaze Champagne Bubbles, Astor Pop Color 145, Deliplus Magnetic nº14 and Deliplus Black

Frame: Black Acrylic Paint

TopCoat: Seche Vite

He hecho el marco con pintura acrílica negra y un pincel delineador, fue complicado hacer las líneas rectas e iguales.

He utilizado:

Base: China Glaze Champagne Bubbles, Astor Pop Color 145, Deliplus Magnetico nº14 y Deliplus Negro

Marco: Pintura acrílica Negra

TopCoat: Seche Vite

This technique is called Framed Nails or Border Nails, and I've always loved it but even it looks so simple it's not simple for me to do it... I have been looking for a tutorial that makes it without brushes but I failed... So I will keep trying and If I figure out a better way to do it I will try to make a tutorial, but from now on I will have to do it with the stripping brush...

Esta técnica se llama Uñas enmarcadas o Uñas delineadas, y siempre me ha gustado, pero aunque parece muy simple no lo es para mi... He estado buscando un tutorial que lo hiciera más sencillo, sin pinceles, pero no lo he conseguido... Así que lo seguiré intentando y si doy con una manera mejor para hacerlas intentaré hacer un tutorial, pero de momento  tendremos  que seguir con los pinceles arriba y abajo...

Even it's not perfect I loved it and I'm planning one only in black and silver because I loved how smooth look the Silver Polish. Don't you think?

Aunque no está perfecta me ha encantado y ya estoy planeando una solo en negro y plata porque me ha encantado lo bonito que queda ese pintauñas. ¿No os parece?

Sunday Challenge: Plate Ending in 5

Hi Girls!
Today is Sunday and in the Facebook group Adventures in Stamping they make a Challenge. This week's was making a manicure stamping with a plate ending in 5. I don't have a lot of plates ending in 5 so I chose BM-205.

Hoy es Domingo y en el grupo de Facebook Adventures in Stamping se hace un Reto. El de esta semana es hacer una manicura estampando con una placa que acabe en 5. No tengo muchas placas que acaben en 5, así que he escogido la BM-205.

For this manicure I used:

Base: China Glaze Ingrid nº80506

Stamp and Gradient: BM-205 plate stamped with Sofia Kosmo Silver nº12

Top Coat: Seche Vite

Then I thought it would look great with a matte finish, so I applied Essence Soft Touch nº07.

Para esta manicura he usado:

Base: China Glaze Ingrid nº80506

Stamp and Gradient: BM-205 estampada con Sofia Kosmo Silver nº12

Top Coat: Seche Vite

Luego pensé que quedaría bien en mate, así que apliqué una capa de Essence Soft Touch nº07.

New Year's Eve Manicure

Es un dregradado de purpurina plateada y negra sobre un fondo metalizado. En la foto no se aprecia muy bien el degradado, pero al natural se ven espectaculares y muy brillantes!!!

I made it doing a gradient with silver and black glitter over a metallic background. The gradient can't be seen in the picture very well , but in natural it amazing and really sparkling!!!
